ROUGH RIDING
Hey guys, I just replaced my front suspension coils with a 2" level kit including shocks with Thuren Fabrication brand parts, and I also replaced the stock track-bar with a Synergy adjustable. Everything was installed per manufacturer's recommendations. My truck still makes a noise when I hit a bump and it's annoying. I have 35x12.50R20LT tires, though I doubt thats what's making or causing the noise. I'm not sure if its the ball joints or not. But in you guys experience, what all components would contribute to a hard ride and a "knock" like sound when hitting a bump in the road. I have the same issue on the rear, but those shocks haven't been changed as yet. I only have the stock leaf spring and shocks on the rear. I will change the shocks once I narrow down what the problem is on the front suspension.

Front axle centering
Okay guys, I took my truck to a mechanic shop with a fully computerized wheel aligning machine, brand new I might add. I was feeling confident looking the the equipment these guys have. When I brought the mechanic out to show him the scope of the job and how I wanted him to center my front axle he said he doesn't know if it can be done. He told me to leave my truck and he'll "see what he can do." I politely drove off. After reaching home I decided to tackle the project myself. Bear in mind I installed the Synergy 3rd Gen track-bar conversion update that is adjustable. Low and behold I had my front axle centered within 20 minutes. I didn't know that the 2" leveling kit which raised my truck would've thrown my front axle out of center and only an adjustable track-bar would've remedied this problem. Well it's done now. I have another question, but I'll open it under a different topic. Thanks to all who contributed.

Front axle centering
Hey bud, The vehicle just received an alignment when the control arms were installed. Clearly the mechanic missed this because both suspension coils and even the sway bar links are pointing to the left. I saw the instructions on how to center the axle and I was assuming that maybe once the sway bar links and suspension coils are vertical, that would've fixed the issue.

Front axle centering
Hey guys/gals, I just replaced my track bar with a Synergy 3rd Gen Upgrade track bar. I noticed my sway bar links are leaning over to the left, I'm assuming that's because the front axle isn't centered. This bar is adjustable and to my understanding the axle is centered via this feature. My question is this, how would I know when the axle is centered? Do I simply "eye' it? Also, is the track bar the only method used to center the front axle? Thanks in advance.

- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE
Yup, I did that already as it was recommended in the documentation that Mopar1973Man posted for me. I used a #4AWG wire from the alternator to the positive post of the passenger battery.- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE
Okay bud will do...- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE
UPDATE... Okay guys, The ground mod as recommended in the documentation that Mopar1973Man posted was completed this evening. I did it exactly as described in the document. I'll give this a run for the next 8 weeks and if it works Mopor1973Man would have won the prized $200 as it was he that posted the recommendation. If this doesn't work I'll be back to this same post seeking more advice from you guys and looking to award the person whose recommendation is a direct contributor to solving my issue. Wish me luck....- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE
Thanks for the success story bud. I was just about to do the ground mod but bad weather prevented me. I can assure you though, come tomorrow, LORD willing I'll be doing my ground mod if weather also permits.- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE

Aaaaahhhh..... Okay I think I've got it now. Just need to stop to the hardware to pick up some AWG #6 automotive wire and some connectors. That M5 x 0.08 bolt will be a ***** to find though Final question for now... Because that M5x0.08 bolt will be hard to find, can I conceivable ground the wire under that nut that holds the VP44 to the front cover?- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE
Would that be the green #6 wire in the pic?- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE
Gotcha... Where is this "new" #8 wire to be picked up from? Is this the other part of that splice you referenced??- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE

I agree.... Because I disconnected the alternator and still had the problem Okay guys, Moving forward I want to verbalize our next step moving forward because I won't abandon this thread and hope no one else does until this problem has been solved. I would like each of us to be on the same page regarding this issue. My next step is to connect my OBD reader to collect some data and report back to this thread. I will do that this evening and hopefully post my data tonight. In the event I decide to perform the Ground MOD, in the first photo, is this where the Blk/Tn wires get cut to attached to the block as depicted in the second photo?- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE
Well do.. Thanks... Also, do I need to perform the Ground MOD first??- 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE
