W-T ground mod
Here another question. So I replaced my factory alternator with a Nations 180amp alternator. Between the alternator and battery I put a 150 circuit breaker. That trips almost everytime I start the truck. Batteries are new. I'm thinking possible cheap breaker that can't handle it's rated amount of amps or should I install a 180amp breaker?

Thank you for answering my questions. It was a huge help. On another topic. If I understand this right, I should run a cable from the drivers side battery negative terminal to the passenger side battery negative terminal?

Dead ECM
I just got my ecm back from them last Friday. They had a back log of work so it took them about a week to even get to mine. From the time I shipped mine off and had it back in my possession it was about 2 1/2 weeks. But now my truck runs great.

Grid heater switch
Was there someone here on the forum that is making a switch to turn off and on the grid heaters without triggering a check engine light? Or a after market company that supplies something like that?

Let me apologize for the photos being out of order. But I started on the ground mod earlier today. You can see that I connected the alternator cable to the passenger side battery along with a 150 amp circuit breaker. In one of the photos you can see a connector next to the battery, the wires in that connection are grounds, there are four of them I believe. They are all on the passenger side. I thought the grounds I needed to slice together were on the drivers side? Can someone elaborate on this? Tomorrow I am going to unwrap the harness going across the front of the engine and try to finish this modification. If it makes a difference my truck is a 1999. I just put in a Nations 180 amp alternator, my old one was putting out .093 ac noise and smoked my ecm, I just got my ecm back from ACS. Right now I'm getting .038 AC noise, but I would like to get it lower. I have no tuners on this truck, the only thing not stock is the alternator and a raptor lift pump. Thank you for any input you may have.

Removing programmer
I've seen that quite a few people here run the quadzilla. Is it complicated? Why would it not be for everyone?

Yep. Your right. I don't know how I missed that. It was right by the connection in plain sight. Thank you for the help.

Removing programmer
I need some help. I've got a 1999 Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4 auto transmission. I checked for ac noise and got a reading of .093 So I ordered a Nations 180 amp alternator and it came in today. My ecm was junk P0606 code auto computer specialists received it yesterday, waiting to hear from them on whether it a yes or no on being repairable. In the mean time I want to remove the tuner that is on the truck and put it back to stock. It has a early model Edge EZ manufacture date was 2008. I followed the wiring coming from the tuner, two connections that I saw were one to the maps on the drivers side towards the rear of the engine the other connection went to Idon't know what it is, drivers side towards the front of the engine. The wires go into the harness and from there I don't know where they go. If I disconnect these connections from the tuner where do I reconnect them to? Am I missing something? I just want to get rid of this old Edge EZ tuner and get something a bit more up to date a little bit better. But for now I just want to get the tuner out of there, but I can't seem to find where to reconnect the engine wiring back to. Any input would be appreciated. Also any recommendations as to a new tuner would be great. Really need something for towing and fuel economy. Thank you.

P0606 code
Hello. I used the search option here to find out about my P0606 code. It sounds like my ecm has given up the ghost from what I have read. But I will let all the things that it is doing and hopefully y'all can confirm that it is time for a new ecm. I did a ac noise check. I'm getting .092 volts for a ac noise check. When I start the truck it will not rev higher than 1400 rpm, it goes from idle and jumps to 1400 rpm that is the only rpm range it 850 or 1400 that's it. I replaced the apps and it made no difference. Also the wait to start light will come on sometimes and sometimes not at all and other times there will be a delay in it coming on. I put my obd LX on it and it tells me P0606 code. So if anybody has had these same things going on with there trucks and can confirm that a ecm repair or replacement is in order I would appreciate it. Thank you. Truck info is 1999 dodge ram 2500 4x4 5.9 Cummins Automatic transmission

Well just an update. I bought a obdlink lx. Put it to use last night. Showed a code. P0222. That was the only code it displayed. Throttle position sensor low voltage if I remember right.

I bought a raffle ticket. But I just bought a obdlink. So if I win the raffle I guess you will just have to raffle it off again.?
