Electrical Problem
Anyone know a good electrical person in North Georgia or the Chattanooga area? While running starter ( 20sec on, 2 min off) to bleed fuel lines, I ended up with electrical odor and light smoke in cab! I would imagine that dealership is going to be super expensive on this one. Thanks,Eric

Rough Idle
This is do-able. I cant thank you guys enough. My salary has been cut three years in a row. Doing my own maintenance is now mandatory. I'll repost when I've completed this. Thanks again.

Don't know much about injectors. What am I looking for and what should I avoid? I just want a reliable replacement that will not adversely effect my mpg.

Super! I won't be able to get on this until mid week anyway.

Wow! How kind of you. No I'm not in a pinch, but I may take you up on the coaching me through the replacement process.

Rough Idle
Pulled the 5'er 50 miles to the lake. When I arrived, the idle was very rough and arhythmic. I mean this thing sounded like a 50 yr old gas burner that had never seen new plugs and contacts. The next day everything was fine. VP44? Eric

Cleaning Turbo Compressor Housing
BHAF is for sure. I cleaned what you can see in the pic, and vacuumed just in case any small particles remained. Replaced filter with stock filter. I'll drive for a few thousand miles and recheck.Thx.

Cleaning Turbo Compressor Housing
Yep! It's had an oiled filter in it for the past 20K . Learning of the problems with oiled filters is why I checked the turbo. Removed the oiled filter! With that said, if the oil was from the filter, wouldn't the hose and the filter box be oily too? If it is a bad seal, what am I in for? Thanks.

Cleaning Turbo Compressor Housing
Compressor housing is pretty grimy, but I thought the blades looked ok (except for my finger prints!). Notice that the intake hose is quite clean as well as the lid to the filter box (I've never cleaned those). Here's my question: Can I carefully wipe of the filter housing and quit there? Or, do I need to clean more of the turbo unit? Why is it that the intake hose and filter box is clean and the compressor housing is not? Thanks,Eric

Turbo Boost
I've been reading around on the forum (great way to learn), and notice several posts talking about boost in the 30+ psi range. I pull a 10K fifth wheel and I've never seen boost above low 20's. Something wrong? My EGT's are 1100° in only the toughest of pulling - rare. 800° - 900° general driving with fiver in tow. MPG is good too.ThxEric
