  3. it has normal power with the edge plugged in. no power with edge unplugged. ill get out tomorrow and get the codes. i should just break down and buy a reader - - - Updated - - - it drives perfect except between 60 and 70
  4. My edge mph stays 20 to 70 mph above my actual mph so when i am traveling at 65 it thinks i am going 150 or so. i have to leave my edge alert at 200 to keep it from alarming nonstop. when i am traveling between 60 and 70 mph it shuts down like i am governing it out. once it gets below 60 it drives perfect. i tried unplugging the edge and it couldnt even get to highway speeds. had to plug it back in just to get home. will get codes read tomorrow as the only one the dash show in 1693 which we all know is a companion code. any ideas?
  5. 100 for me regardless of ambient air temp
  6. Thanks for all the replies guys. Was wanting to get into this weekend but I work about an hour from home and leaving work it's started popping and clicking real bad. Knew I couldn't make it home so I had to leave it at shop. Guy said it's more than likely pinion bearing
  7. heres the problem. while the truck is coasting there is a horrible vibration and loud hum coming from the rear end. the weird thing is any throttle at all makes it stop even the wait of my foot on the throttle. i have gotten out a few times and put my hand on the differential and its pretty hot. any ideas?
  8. Can anyone tell me if the rear end in an 01 1 ton requires friction modifier? Thanks

  11. heres my problem. my rear drums on my 01 are very touchy dont think my fronts ever even grab. if im goin down a dirt road in 1st gear and tap the brakes they will lock up in the rear. my parking brake doesnt work either. hope i can get it fixed before the ice comes. any ideas?

  14. Just curious what everyone is seeing for oil pressure. I'm seeing 60-70 idle cold engine, 25-40 idle warm engine and 50-60 cruising down the highway.
  15. Was at my brothers today and was talking about his old ctd 2000 2500 4x4. anyways the lift pumped failed so he went a picked up a 100 dollar edlebrock electric fuel pump, spliced it into his lines by tank and ran them straight to filter bowl bypassing lift pump completely. ran power to a toggle switch in cab which is handy because if anyone is gonna steal the truck they would make it about 200ft before running out of fuel. after install he never dropped below 15 psi and never got above 20-21. anyone else done this?
  16. me too. but it does seem to be the only way
  17. what other way could you get more psi? unless i got a more GPH lift pump right?
  18. thanks for the pics man those are always the most helpful
  19. would vulcan big line kit work with my edge that plugs in on the test port of inlet side
  20. any suggestions on keeping it higher? i read what you have on the larger diameter plumbing but i have a banjo bolt on the inlet for vp unlike the 90 degree fitting i saw in your pics. ill try and get a pic of mine tomorrow and post it
  21. As you can see in my sig i have a Fass DDRP. i am seeing 16-18 psi idle and 10-13 WOT is this normal?
