  2. My injection pump is leaking where the number 3 injector line goes on. I had the line off and there was a groove worn in the tapered seat so i sanded it down and it quit leaking for a couple weeks now it leaks again. So there must be a groove in the fitting on the pump. I can get the line from cummins but they can't get me the fitting. Anyone know where I can get one? And does it just thread out or does it hold anything in? http://forum.mopar1973man.com/webkit-fake-url://535F2EDA-3C3B-41D5-9A53-884682DEB836/imagejpeg
  3. so far i found that the one on the back of the head is 12 mm. stil not sure about the one on the vp44. i think im just gonn arun 3/8 frpom the head and the pump and then T them together into 1/2 an back to the tank.
  4. just driving its not bad but if you hit the brakes hard the fuel runs to the front of the tank and lift pressure drops. i dont run it below 3/8 of a tank. just havent been able to find the sizes of the fittings i need
  5. this spring i plan on dropping the tank out of my 02. i already have an airdog with a 1/2" draw straw but imn sick of low level slosh issues. im going to get a vulcan draw straw V. but while im at it, i wanna run 1/2" return lines too and have em dump into the canister rather than the filler neck. i was just wondering what size the banjo return fittings are? so i can put a jic fitting on the back of the head like the airdog supply. and from what ive found i need a barbed banjo fitting fo rthe return off the pump because of the pressure valve in the bolt. just dont know what size for that either.thanks
  6. sent the head in to get checked. its slightly warped and cavitated. he figured hed have to take about .005 off it. is that gonna require anything else like thicker gasket or injector washers?
  7. kinda hard to get that done out here. small town an hour and a half from any city
  8. Ya I used a gasket right from cummins. First time it leaked coolant into 3 cylinders and I think I just stretched the bolts on that one. This one is oil comin from the front and rear oil galleries. The rest of the gasket appears fine. And as far as I know you can re-use the studs?
  9. ya you can see it bubling out under the head.
  10. torqued in small increments, didnt re-torque, didnt have head checked. torqued to 125 ftlbs. theres no oil incoolant and no coolant in oil. just oil on the ground. just seems weird to me that it would leak oil out of there
  11. my head gasket went again. found a big puddle of oil under the truck and its coming out right in front between the head and the block. i did the head gasket 9 months ago and put ARP studs in and was really hoping it wouldnt go. didnt think it would with only 45psi boost. any ideas on why?
  12. problem with that is i dont have it off and cant just pull it off cuz i need to drive the truck and dont have my tools at school here with me
  13. my fan hub bearing is making noise and im gonna change it but having trouble finding a bearing. got the part number from cumminsp/n 3910739number off bearing BD35-12DU8Athey want 250 bucks for it. which is ridiculous. cant find it anywhere else though. any ideas? thanks
  14. so if i borrow a smarty, tune it in, run it, take the tune out, and give the smarty back, it will stay activated it?
  15. ok. too bad i dont have access to the chrysler tools anymore. will the smarty do the same thing?
  16. thats what it seems like but we did alll the updates for it. would it be worth finding a smarty to try turning it on with that?
  17. im building a high idle fooler for my 02, and i hooked up to the dodge drb3 and truck has all the recent updates. i put the 3.3k ohm resistor in the ect sensor and the 39k ohm resistor in the iat sensor. ect reads 128 F and iat reads 26 F. still no high idle. any ideas?
