i bought a nice little code reader for 70 bucks at wall mart that i carry with me almost all the time. it will read and give a description on a cd also. saves me from carrying the one from the shop and also help to generate new customer

if your gonna spend might as well spend smartly. labor would be the same and you would have a better piece of mind, knowing at least you dropped the pan to have a look

Well i took my truck back out of storage today to give it a good run to keep evey thing free. what a thrill to get the turbo spooling and see the black smoke roll.

i'm really not a big believer in transmission flushing, lots of valve to move to really flush and i'm pretty sure the flusher don't stroke the valvebody. and whats the sense of flushing if you don't change the filter, that would be like taking a ____ and not wiping your ___:banghead:

put your foot on the brake, then load the transmission up and see if it is slipping in drive. BUT don't go overboard when you load it.

does it slip if you stall test the transmission?
