  1. So now my truck wants to idle at 2200 rpms all the time and won’t stop no matter what I do
  2. Ok so I unhooked the intake heaters on the drivers side battery and no more voltage drop but it still high idles but the bucking has completely stopped until I get to about 80 mph/2500 rpm
  3. Ok thanks for clarifying that so now I’m just on the hunt for a bad ground correct?
  4. at idle my voltage drops sometimes and you can hear a load drag the engine down a little and the lights on the dash and headlights dim i have a feeling this and my bucking have something to do with eachother. After a few seconds of the "load" it goes back to normal and it does it repeatedly the guage on the dash will go down to 11 or so volts then come to a little after 14 volts ive put a multimeter on the alternator while its idleing and no jumps or hiccups with the voltage coming out of the alternator. .
  5. As to my knowledge no but I read it a little and it talks about the torque converter shuttering problem and my truck is a 5 speed but I will check that spice and see what it looks like and follow the wires
  6. So i got a mutimeter and put it on the battery and its dropping voltage at idle i then went and measure the alternator output and it was consistent so im losing voltage somewere
  7. is there more than one coolant temp sensor the only one have found is by were the top rad hose goes into the the cylinder head.
  8. ok thanks im gonna try and replace my intake air temp sensor and maybe my map sensor and see if that helps any...
  9. I’m not sure how old my injectors are I haven’t owned the truck long but if I put my truck in gear and let out on the clutch it will idle down to 800 until I hit the throttle again I can start the truck and it idle at 800 and then hit the throttle it go to 1100 and then I can put a load on the engine and it idles down
  10. I tried measuring the voltage according to the instructions sent with my timbo and it did the same so I said well I’ll try it with true ballcrank screw all the way out and I did that and reset the apps and it doesn’t buck and hiccup now but it still idles high
  11. I’ll give it another try this is my first dodge cummins so sorry for all the confusion just trying to learn
  12. i installed the timbo apps and it still high idle i havent got it out on the highway yet... cant figure out what the issue is
  13. Yes it was doing it before so I bought another one from rock auto and it had no voltage to set it at so I found somewere the basic voltage and set it there and it did the same thing ig I learned my lesson buying cheap parts but my timbo should be here today
  14. Ok I’ll try that thanks I’ll keep y’all updated That didn’t change anything
