DRW removal, can't get the inner dual wheel off. Stuck!
I've had the stuck inner dual problem on our F550 work trucks. I've loosened the lugnuts and went for a slow drive and swerved left and right hard. Never got over 15mph and the lugnuts were just barely loose. It will usually pop in less than 100 feet. Then I grease the crap out of them on the flat flanges before putting them back on. There is no room to swing a hammer properly and it damages the outer lip on the rim. Good luck

Did my first MPG check
I'm going to do some work on this Sammi and probably sell it. I did a list today and it's the 19th Samurai I've bought in the last 5 years. The motor has a rod knock but I have a perfect 1.3 in my shop to use in it. They are so nice to work on, that I enjoy tinkering on them. I'm trying to work up enough cash to help finish my house renos that are going on 3 years. I have a patient wife or I would be single by now lol.... Eventually I want one of each Suzuki model, soft top, tin top, long wheel base and truck. I have the truck and soft top so far and I have a line on the other 2 models. This is the $550 beauty...lol

Did my first MPG check
Went on a fairly long trip this morning (600kms) to bring home another Suzuki Samurai and decided to actually calculate the mileage. I ended up getting 17mpgs. Half was empty trailer of course, but I'm pretty happy with those numbers. The trailer is a 16 foot and the Sammy weighs about 2600lbs so the load wasn't real big. I was driving fairly fast too 110km/hr and there was some hilly sections and a bit of wind to fight. That was with the Comp set on 1x5. I had it on 3x5 for a bit but my EGTs seemed to stay above 700 too much. I sure like the 2 stroke oil in the fuel, it does quiet down my engine a lot. Too bad fuel is $1.18 a liter here now. The trip cost me $97 The Sammi was only $550 lol

Just upgraded to hx35, not happy
I did the same swap on my 01 and I did notice the slower spooling and less bottom end. But I never had my EGT hooked up with the HY to compare. What are you running your Comp box set at? If I pin mine on a decent hill on 3 or higher it will crank the EGTs to 1200+ in a hurry but I have RV275 injectors. With the smaller turbo my truck would almost break the tires loose on the 1-2 shift stock. It won't do that now, but it pulls harder up top.

A/C doesn't cycle compressor just keeps going??
My A/C doesn't cycle on and off, compressor just stays kicked in. I checked the pressure and it was a touch low so I put one of those small cans into the system. It is now in the safe range but still won't cycle out. It runs until it freezes off and airflow stops. I have been switching it to vent every few minutes to keep this from happening. What do you guys think is the problem?

01 lugnuts and center caps on 17" Gen 3 wheels?
I have a chance to buy some factory 17" wheels and tires but he has no center caps and lug nuts. Will my lug nuts and center caps off my 01 with aluminum wheels work? Is the taper on the acorn the same and does anyone have a picture of what it will look like? Thanks in advance.

Crappy starting after sitting and fuel psi question
Ok so I've been battling a hard starting issue. When it sits especially if the fuel level is lower and the nose is uphill it cranks alot before firing. I tightened all the connections and don't see any leaks. Can one of you guys video your fuel psi gauge on a cold start up so I can see how your truck reacts? Mine will sometimes jump to 20psi for a brief half second while the wait to start is on before cranking and then it will drop right down to 0. I have started bumping the starter without starting the engine and allowing the pump to prime the system. Then letting the preheat cycle do it's thing. It seems to start better when I do that but not always. This is starting to pee me off...lol I'd like to put a switch in so I could manually turn the lift pump on before I crank it. Maybe I should change the overflow valve on the VP...it might be original still???

Got my levelling kit and air bags on :)
Yes I knew about that. I have installed about 20 sets, but always for others. I'm going to run 20psi in them minimum.

Got my levelling kit and air bags on :)
No, it hauled drums of chemicals to oilfield sites until it had 380,000kms on it. It never had a 5th wheel hitch until 4 years ago and hauled a horse trailer a few times. Still has the stock balljoints in it and front axle u joints are original too. It only needed the air bags cause once the 2" leveling kit was in a load made the rear sit lower than the front. Otherwise my 1500lb camper made the truck sit level in stock condition. I just wanted it higher, plus it rides nicer on air empty. Before it was rougher until it had weight in it. Now when I haul a load of bales thats 17,000lbs it won't squat at all.

Got the 2" leveling kit for $90 used and the air bags for $150 used. Got it all on last weekend. With 20psi in the bags empty it rides way smoother than before. It's not sitting too high for the 265s in my opinion.

A lighter subject
This is my office 4.5m3 vac combo unit, with a hotsy boiler wash unit. I clean up oilflield messes and general clean ups.
