5 spd pedal is low.
I have a 5sp with a pedal That I have to push almost all the way to the floor and it engages low also. It did this before and after a clutch install. Do I need a new clutch slave cylinder?

Po 2016
I have had the dead pedal or atleast partal dead pedal. It will run along fine then dead pedal on me so, I turn the key on/off and it acts like it didnt happen. Bought a new apps sensor. Didnt fix it. Low voltage about 2 or so. Did the W/t mod. Hoping it was a ground. I had metioned I had a code Po 2016 injection pump timing. It is a brand new pump 150 miles so, I said no way but I was told to use some Atf. I finished the W-t mod replaced the fuel filter 1/3 of the atf with the filter rest in the tank. Ran it for 10 mins drove it 10 miles it dead pedaled only on time. Much better it was doing it everymile. Today it still did it twice. Put on the scan tool and got the po2016. So is it the pump after all? Anything else I can do. I am installing a fuel pressure gauge this week.

Thank you for the diagram.

Doing the w-t gound mod
It come out of that junction and bolted to something.lol not my battery cables. I need a schematic. I need a schematic for one simple wire lol.

Doing the w-t gound mod
That smaller gauge wire is a ground. So i can just ground it and hook the charge wire to my circuit breaker correct? But i still cant figure out where it grounded to or bolted to. The ring terminal on the end is half inch. Yes, i am do for an oil change and I am ordering a Donaldson oil filter. Seems like a good oil filter

Doing the w-t gound mod
Why cant i just cut off the wire and just run the charge wire and go on. I could just cut it close to the plastic block and put liquid tape on it.

Doing the w-t gound mod
I havent hooked it up doing it today. But yes its going to a 150 breaker and the passenger battery. I am going to have to figure it out.

Doing the w-t gound mod
I am finishing up my w-t ground mod. I have been doing other projects and have forgot. So the 2 wires from the alternator one is the output that I am going to hook up to a circuit breaker and battery. But what is the other wire? Where did it hook up to?

Thank you for your help.

I woulg guess i need to install a fuse also?

W-t ground mod.
Ok. I have it apart at the bundle. I have cut off the grounds stripped the wire and was getting ready to solder. Then i thought what about the big black charging wire. Then i read disconnect it from the pdc. I thought thats a lot of work fishing it out of that bundle down the side of the block and back up the side. I am half tempted to cut it off down in the bundle and up by the pdc. Lol. Maybe it will just pull out.

W-t ground mod.
1998 1/2 5spd. I am doing the w-t ground mod. I dont understand why I need to remove the alternator charging wire going though the bundle to the pdc. Why would i not just leave it? I am doing this in hopes to fix my grounds to get rid of a dead pedal issue. So what am i missing?

Intermittent dead pedal.
How do you join up?

Intermittent dead pedal.
2 stroke oil. I didnt know that.

Intermittent dead pedal.
That means what? Lift pump? What about the voltage being low. I read a article by blue chip diesel. Its stated get an analog meter hook it up and run it in side the cab and drive it. If the voltage stays the same then its the pump. I only have a digital meter. Ill have to read it. Make sure i got that right.

Intermittent dead pedal.
I agree. Let me give you some history. I bought this truck in 2001. Replaced the pump in 2014. Then last year the apps started its stuff. I talked to some guys on a forum they told them what was happening. They told me man its your apps sensor. I go buy a 50 dollar one. I mean its got 300,000 miles i figured it probably was out. Didn't fix it. Working 12 hrs a day no time so i took it to a shop 2 months they couldn't figure it out took it to another shop. They said it was the pump. I replaced it. I picked the truck up he told me the alternator wasn't charging i sent in the pcm. One shop or the other hooked the battery backwards and shorted it out. So i got it back it was running fine about 50 miles it started again. I had shoulder surgery so i couldn't drive it. That brings us till now. Because I have the time I am trying hunt it down. I wrote down the codes, po 222 apps voltage and po216 fuel injection pump timing failure. I could be a fuel delivery problem like a lift pump I have a fass, but that would not explain the low voltage to the sensor.

Intermittent dead pedal.
I am going to have it back together friday. And ill see what codes come up. The po122 was what it had. But i have thought what if it is the pump. It has only 100 miles at most on it. It is a thoroughbred diesel 2 year warranty. And the computer on the pump is brand new. I called and asked they told me new computer. But anything is possible.

Intermittent dead pedal.
Yes, i got a timbo. My scan tool has a the live data on it. But as of right now i have the truck apart. The computer i had tested is out and i have already begun the WT ground and thats all apart. So thursday I should be back at it. I thought about opening the bundle all the way to the ecm. Maybe there's a bare wire i doubt it. But what a mess that will be. The only thing that keeps bugging me is why when i turn the key off then on, while it is rolling, it runs like a top. That means its can carry voltage but its not getting a signal. Trust me I have been watching scanner Dan Videos. Trying to find that 5 volt reference.
