So i was rolling down the free way today and my tire blew at 65 mph. My tires are 285/75 and i was aware they are rubbing and i think the blow out is due to this i have 16x10's i believe with nitto terra grapplers 285.... is it cause of the offset on the rims that it rubs... these are the rims i have: http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Store_Detail.cfm?ID=192660&InfoID=2505&ShowLarge=True&SnipID=4117 I would like to buy the same tire what do i need to do so they wont rub at all? I either have to change my wheel and tire combo to something smaller or im thinking i need a little lift in the front....if i were to lift the front so the whole trucks sits level would this help the tires not rub? The truck is a 1999 dodge cummins 4x4 as the truck sat i always noticed it sag in the front any feed back would help

Currently running LT265/75/16E Mich M/S. Dodge recommended LT245/75/16E. Poor fuel mileage towing 8000lb Tag Along Travel Trailer. How much in safety am I giving up if I go to LT235/85/16E A/T in hopes of improving fuel MPHs? 2001 Ram 2500HD Diesel 4sp A/T. Have done the Banks Power Pack deal and A/B Cold Air Filter with no increase in MPHs.

My ole man just bought a 16' flat bed 5th wheel trailer, 20' total length. Tandem axle. We are replacing the deck, as the wooden one has rotted out, replacing the wiring and upgrading the lights to LED's, brakes, wheel bearings and seal, and painting the whole thing. He picked it up for 500 bucks so no complaints here. LOLIt needs new tires due to the old tires being dry rotted and balder than a nascar tire. What tires would you recommend and why? I have no idea what trailer tire to go with.Won't be towing to many heavy loads but want to put here to the test from time to time LOL

Hey guys, I'm close to buying a 97' 2500 and was wondering if any one knows what do i have to do to fit 35x12.5 on the 2nd gen dodges? If i can get away with no rubbing with a leveling kit i want to but im afraid it might rub too much. would a leveling kit take care of it? Or would i have to include the 2" body lift?

It's almost tire time again for me. I bought a set of BFG Rugged Trail E-rated 265/75/16s that I've been running for over 60K miles now and they've still got a little ways to go. The only issue is that my front end apparently went out of alignment and the toe-out ate up the insides of the front tires on the last 5K rotation.I've read TONS of information on tires and I'm always a function over form guy, which makes it hard to wade through the "they look cool" recommendations I always come across. I've considered a 255/85/16 because I like the tall, skinny (I have 4.10s) aspect. However, I've heard horror stories about getting a flat and not being able to find a replacement fast. I've read good things about the Cooper s/t and the Toyo M55 but I can't afford the Toyos. It seems that the 265/75/16 is a very common tire size so that may drive my decision a bit. The Firestone Transforce A/T seems to be another good tire, but I can't find any mileage reports on it. I know the H/T will last a long while, but I don't really want a pure highway tire because I do a good amount of mountain dirt road traveling. What do y'all recommend in size and brand? I'm not looking to spend a whole lot, I got my BFG Rugged Trails at Sears for $700 with the road hazard warranty, and if it comes down to it I'll just do that again since they're wearing so well. Thanks!
