I think it is time for me to make the jump to a more capable tuning box. I have decided that the Adrenaline is the way to go, mostly from lurking and reading all the great information on this forum. I have a few questions.

Is there any difference in the iQuad and the iQuadbt? I know one is for iPhone and the other for android, but is there any other difference? My phone is an iPhone, but would it be beneficial to get an android device to keep in the truck?

I have never used a wire tap box. Is the stealth plate a good purchase? I want to do the wire tap once and know it’s done right.

Since I am running on the stock turbo, I have blocked the WG off to let the turbo build boost. With the smarty and injectors, I have been building 34lbs max. I assume with the extra fuel that I will need to get an adjustable boost elbow to keep from over driving the turbo. Is there one that you guys prefer over another? I would like to set it around 32lbs or so for now until I head studs and get a bigger turbo.

Will the Adrenaline come with all of the probes or sensors that it requires? I have a full set of mechanical gauges that I would like to keep. Will the Adrenaline still be able to monitor everything it needs to do it’s job? Installing a second egt probe is not big deal, but if it can piggyback on the existing, that would be great.

I would appreciate a quote quote on all of the things above as well.

Yes. iQuad is WiFi and iQuadBT is BlueTooth. I'm using a LG G5 phone (android). https://mopar1973man.com/topic/12976-getting-the-most-from-a-lg-g5-cellphone/     Beyond that no,

  • The only reason I suggest people use android is cost to replace,  an android device can be found for 1/10 that of a IOS device.  If you run like Moparman says then that doesn't matter.

  • what no impact driver install?

Well the Quad has arrived and is installed. I am very happy with the amount of tunability that it has. I am working my way through building some tunes up, but I have to say, I just don’t see the level of performance that some people seem to have. I have seen a couple people say that they are breaking tires loose while towing, and mine hasn’t come close to turning them over empty! It is definitely a big step over stock, and a decent step over the smarty, but I am not just blown away with the amount of power I am making so far. It could certainly be in my tuning skills, so I am still optimistic! My big worry is I am possibly low on compression (unrelated to the Quad) and that may be impacting the performance. I may have to perform a compression test and check it out. I have a noticeable amount of blow by, so could be the case.

Blow by some times is worried about too much. Serious blow by you will have something like this...

You might want to upload a copy of your tune and members here can discuss the settings with you. Just having the timing wrong or the fuel curve set up wrong can limit the power. Another member was using boost limits and that cutting the fuel by 70% on the top end. So poor set up of a tune could possibly limit your power.

Mine is nothing like that! I have no doubt that my tuning abilities are lacking. I will upload the tune I am using. This is loaded from my Dropbox using an iPhone, so if it doesn’t work, let me know. This one is decent power and pretty smooth.
