Man, when it rains, it pours. Last Thursday, there was an internet issue beyond my reach. What would happen is try to access Mopar1973Man.Com website, the site wouldn't respond at all. Making matters worse that I attempt to reach the hosting company, and the same thing happens. No response at all. Yeah, panic sets in for a bit, but after making a call to the sales team, they clearly could see the server was running, and pages were loading normally. My problem was just after the ground station of
Lot of you might be a bit upset with me not being available at the drop of a hat. Sorry! Since May 29th, my life has been turned upside down, and been dealing with all kinds of issues. For example, I had a brake malfunction on Beast and was attempting to fix the issue with limited tools, royal pain in the tail. Thor has an issue right now with the injectors (again) and is short on time and short on tools to really dig into this. I've had some luck and got another family involved, and was willing
First, I have to say, "If it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all!" I've just had a series of things go wrong. First off, we are down to a single laptop for doing website work. I lost my old yellow box computer it finally died after 20 years of service. The old AMD CPU, the video software is no longer supported by Ubuntu. Just too old. Now my @MoparMom computer was our house server for the video cameras and storing the backups. This machine died with hard drives. Again 20 year
Some of you might think we are not around. Truth is, we are still working on cleaning up the shop mudslide disaster. Currently, we are down on vehicles, being that Beast just lost a starter, Thor had a random injector failure right at the time of the mudslide. Most of my tools and shop stuff are still buried in the yard. @Tweety Bird is trying to fill my shoes on the website by handling administrative duties. I'm working with the locals here to attempt to get use of a small track hoe and hoping
Today I was out in the yard running the little skid steer, loading bricks and concrete. Just getting things sorted out of the dirt is taking the most time. I just found the couch, which is pretty flat and crushed. Finding items from Marks' living room, I found the new but beaten network hub, which was less than half a year old. At about noon, it got pretty hot here, so we abandoned the front yard and came in. Still I've gotta give a huge amount of love for the Dischinger Family that continues to
Hey Gang, I just spent some time going back to YouTube and doing some tweaking to my account. Now my Mopar1973Man.Com videos are still there, and I'm going to start building videos in the near future for articles. I'm going to still have to do repairs with what I have so this is going to get interesting working in the yard, doing repairs on Beast and Thor both in the wilderness of Idaho. Currently, the last few days here have been right about 95℉ to 108℉. Yeah, I'm going to be doing brakes on th
Hey there gang, I'm still here working at the website. I know there are people there that just don't understand why I've changed in appearance and my nature of being. Sadly, the whole aspect of my life was permanently altered when I had my last run of cancer. You have to realize I'm no longer able to work as a mechanic and do Cummins diesel work at a commercial level. I have an ostomy bag hanging on the front of my belly that is a constant reminder of the cancer I fought through alone. I deal w
@Tweety Bird And I had to get out of here and get some downtime. Extremely stressful to get up every day, looking out the living room window at an entire mess of my shop buried under tons of mud and dirt. It was wonderful to just go out north of McCall, ID for about 4 days. We didn't do anything but rest. Now we have returned home and are going to start making moves to clean up the main house with all the unpacking from moving to my place. Lots to do. Then still need to handle the mess in my dri
First, let me say that for any of you who own your homes, please review your insurance policies. I just found out that the majority of homeowners are not covered for landslides, mudslides, earth movement (earthquakes), etc. Like me, it's a completely lost. The insurance policy doesn't cover this at all, not one dime. For all those religious people who walked up and said they would pray for me. They packed up and left the scene quickly and gave ZERO help at all. Even my neighbor who is part of th
Mopar1973Man.Com Shop was leveled by a landslide. Yeah, with a heavy heart, I lost my entire shop and guest house to a landslide. I won't discuss how this all happened yet. The biggest thing I lost was the entire building. My Best Friend, Mark Hall, was living in my guest house. He was one of the few who helped me out with my cancer. He was protected by a guardian angel. I just saw where his bed landed and what pinned Mark in the house. Mark's Dog Hachi made it too, and no injuries. We managed t
Hey there gang, I'm looking for people who truly want to get involved with the website. I'm adding functions like the Gallery so people can place there truck photos up and show them off to the rest of the world. The Event Calendar is going to be set up for the idea that we might plan travel trip to places and share our location so people can meet up with me. I also want to bring the Zoom meetings together too. I'm going to be building articles on Thor here shortly we are going to have more infor
