Makeup artistry
Now, to speak up on another fact. Just because I've changed my appearance with makeup and hair, it typically doesn't make me less knowledgeable. My typical day is that if I'm planning on going to town, I'll always do my makeup work before I leave. I was referred by a local repair shop in McCall (Sharlies Auto Repair) to a Cummins owner for tuning his Quadzilla. Even on a day like that, I was dressed up and rolled to this client's house to chat with him about tuning and getting his truck ready for a trip. This shocked my client that seen the makeup and dress code. But after talking to him for a short while and built a quick base tune to roll to Oregon for the holidays. He's totally sold on my abilities to diagnose and fix anything Dodge Cummins. When this client shows back up after the holidays, I'll be guiding him and his roommate on how to repair both of their trucks. I might not be able to turn the wrenches, but I can give guidance to people on how to fix their trucks.
Wound up going into Riggins for a few odds and ends groceries. I stopped by the deli counter for a chicken strip to munch on for the ride home. The gal working behind the counter was fixed on my face. After getting my chicken strip, she said, "I really do love the makeup you did on your eyes!" Quite fascinating doing the makeup work I do, and the many comments and even people to come up and just ask, "Why? What's your story?" I can break out a quick tale of my cancer and move forward. Just totally awesome to be me and add the style of Victorian Goth with my jacket.
