Mopar1973Man Is Retiring: Meet Titanium

Mopar1973Man is retiring. He isn't gone, but his body can't do the work anymore. Here's why, and who's taking over: Titanium. Today I'm holding a funeral for Mopar1973Man. Don't worry, nobody died. But the man behind that name can't keep going the way he did, and it's time to say so. Who Mopar1973Man Was Mopar1973Man was my whole way of life. He started as a 14-year-old running a BBS in 1984, graduated from ITT Tech in 1989, and built custom PCs under the Cloud 10 Computers name from 1994 to 200

Busy Man - Titanium

Beast got his new VP44 injection pump. Been a long while since I've done long work like this, wow! I can feel it all through my shoulders and arms from hanging upside down over the tappet cover and injection pump. Few flaws I did on that job. I got sidetracked by people coming and going, and then forgot to tighten the 1,2,4 injection lines at the pump, and couldn't figure out the diesel fuel smell. D'Uh! 🫣 Tighten all that up, and Beast came to life. To test Beast out, I packed up the next da

Where is Titanium Hiding Now???

It was awesome to just take time away from the mess in my own yard. Even though both of us were worn out and really didn't do anything much while out here. The weather got cold and is snowing. We were up near Lost Valley Reservoir at an elevation of roughly 4,800 feet. The first two days were spent sitting at the dining table, looking out the windows at the storm rolling in and then rolling out and clearing up. Titanium was in hair and super simple, just black eyeliner and black eye shadow, then

The change that became permanent

So, as I was packing up on my first trip, I was doing a lot of back and forth, loading stuff in the RV. For 2 days, I didn't wear any makeup at all. When I got going and realized I needed to stop at the local hardware store for a chunk of chain, like 6 feet or so. This was purchased to lock the generator to the truck or RV. When I walked into the store without makeup on, everyone kept coming up to me and asking, "Are you OK? Are you sick again? Cancer coming back?" Nope, just was super busy and

We are out of here for a time.

@Tweety Bird has some shoulder issues we need to deal with. She has a few medical appointments to handle down in the Treasure Valley Idaho. Don't fret, we have packed up the RV today and are nearly ready to start a travel trip down south. This is like a practice run because eventually we want to travel cross-country to see some of the members of this website. I know I have a spot with @Doubletrouble. I know I need to rattle some other members in the future. We are going to do as much as we can

Black & White

@Tweety Bird asked me what color today. She paused a bit, then said do something with a color you have not used in a while. Black and white hasn't been used in a long while. She asked me to do something to reverse the colors on the wig. Well, I came up with a wild idea using liquid makeup. It's a wild idea and just doing the crazy thoughts.

Titanium as a Technical Advisor

I'm finding that people don't really care what I look like as long as the knowledge keeps rolling. I've got friends requesting me to sit and watch them work and help where I can. First job was a friend in Caldwell, Idaho that had driver side brake pad start scraping metal-to-metal contact. Luck he was smart, drove home, and parked the truck. The truck is a 1999 Dodge 1500 V8 5.2L 2WD. Driver side I showed him the basics of how to remove, which is simple: get the truck jacked up and remove the wh

Time to head back.

Today we are checking out of our RV space and heading back home with our cache of goodies we picked while in town. This has been a wonderful experience and teaching both of us what we need to travel on the road to see some of you. For a bench test I think we can get started traveling state to stay soon. As for makeup artistry wife and I enjoyed all the great comments as we been in town. Been nice for both us to escape the mess at home and take a break away from problems, phones, projects, etc.

Frustrated...

People tend to forget what has happened to me. Let me update you on a frustration I had to deal with. First of all, dealing with medical insurance companies is a PITA. I lost my insurance for a short time, which now locked up all my medical treatment, testing, etc til lthis was sorted out. This includes my ostomy bags, too, which I was running out. Calling insurance handlers (subcontracted) to get information straightened out so I could get supplies. This last Sunday, my night bag fell apart rig

Titanium Not Going To Forced

This post is going to get political. There is a small group of Goth/Emo/Alt people claiming that if you want to be part of the group, you have to vote democratic. As for me, I started my Goth/Emo/Alt journey into makeup artistry with my bladder cancer. Then I started to catch flak for posting my Goth/Emo/Alt photos on coments ot artist I liked. One person told me if I don't vote democratic then I'm just a poser. Me. I had to create another photo shoot for new photos to handle the punk kids who a

Goth/Emo/Alt rules...

I've now seen it all. There is a younger group of people in the Goth community saying you have to be of "democratic aligned" to be Goth/Emo/Alt. I will be the first to say "No!!!" I will NOT support democrat values, being that I'm number one, I'm an American Citizen, and watching my tax dollars go for Ukraine, Minnesota fraud, USAID fraud, the list goes on and on. How about Social Security? Yeah, I'm now disabled, but why are there so many illegal aliens on Social Security in Minnesota? Never co

Trying to keep Thor and Beast running!

Beast has developed a problem with the hydrobooster being the main booster piston; the seal failed, and even brake pedal usage was leaking hydraulic fluid from the hydrobooster. There is a bleed hole on the bottom of the unit. This was just replaced, as the article was created in the 2nd Gen brake and axle category. That particular day, I was wearing my black hair and basic black makeup. Then on Thor, it was a matter of replacing the battery terminals. Using the really basic tools I do have a

Titanium caught by another TikTok in Ontario, OR

The gentleman who made the video of me. I'll just call him by his handle Genetix. He confronted me on the streets of Ontario, OR, as my wife was shopping for jewelry supplies in a small shop. I was in the middle ofa phone call and ended my phone call to see what this gentleman wanted to know about me. Genetix wanted to understand why the appearance and what my story was about. So, for those that have not heard the story of my cancer, here you go. Video form on TikTok. I have to say this gentlema

@Tweety Bird I love this woman. ❤️ She said something to me today that change my point of view. Dont let my cancer ruin my Dec / Jan time. Look at it this way Titanium was already created before this date but his birthdate of being is December 31, 2023. Cancer might of created him but ive got to celebrate his life! Titanium is 2 years old already. Like I mention in my previous blog entry im a Phoenix rising from the ashes and going to enjoy what ive created, and what I still have!

Titanium aka Mopar1973Man one and the same

You might have all seen the change in my avatar to red hair. I've now past 2 years of daily makeup work when I leave the house. People still have issues understanding why? Do you all understand I've been a greasy mechanic since I was 14 years old? Yup, my life began with a desire to acquire tools and fix things as early as 14. So, for my life to change while having bladder cancer, I couldn't return to working on trucks in a commercial capacity. Even today, it pulls me down when I see a problem w

Christmas Holiday Blues / Happy Birthday Titanium

A lot of you don't understand why the makeup. I'll admit I fell apart last night; it's Christmas / New Year's again. Both of my bladder cancers came for Christmas. What most people don't get is the fact that what I love to do is out of my reach. Let's roll back the clock and understand that as a kid at the 14 years old I was gifted a socket set (Craftsman) and fell in love with mechanical things. I was building go-karts and mini-bikes with friends. I was fixing lawn mowers and small single-cylin

Makeup artistry

Now, to speak up on another fact. Just because I've changed my appearance with makeup and hair, it typically doesn't make me less knowledgeable. My typical day is that if I'm planning on going to town, I'll always do my makeup work before I leave. I was referred by a local repair shop in McCall (Sharlies Auto Repair) to a Cummins owner for tuning his Quadzilla. Even on a day like that, I was dressed up and rolled to this client's house to chat with him about tuning and getting his truck ready fo

Titanium Live on TikTok

Today I was stuck inside the house being its raining here in Idaho. While the mornings are cold here, I was checking back on a few videos near Christmas time. Sadly, I saw a few artists who were having a rough start to getting the Goth/Emo/Alt makeup. Either being laughed at or just treated poorly by people on the streets or at school. I'm going on 3 years of makeup artistry that I've self-taught. @Tweety Bird asked me to get the new weather station set up and working. I needed a 4x4x12 to get i

Fire in the Eyes

This is one of my first attempts at blending many colors evenly. This case told me she was going to wear green. Christmas colors, so I went to the wild side and took the fire-red wig and makeup to boot. I've been watching several makeup artists explain how they blend colors. Now, I'm combining the artwork I currently do with the tapered color down each side of my nose and outward toward the outside of my eyebrows. Since getting her eye surgery and correcting her vision, that is a huge blessing a
