recently bought a 04 2500 cummins with 110??? miles. would like to change all fluids out in the truck so i know what kind and how old they are. would this be a smart thing to do or just a wast of money. already changed the oil and the antifreeze looks good

Could someone please tell me where my oil is going?? Last oil change was about 4k ago with Valvoline Blue and a Wix gold Filter. Checked oil this morning after truck had sat overnight on level ground. Pulled the stick and nothing, did it again, same result. Truck does not leak, has good oil pressure, anti-freeze looks good, no oil underneath, it does have a little blow-by and there is 147k miles on motor. I do have a oily residue on my exhaust tip that does not easily remove with soap and water. I run a 200:1 ratio of 2 stroke oil(TCW3) in my fuel, not sure if that could cause the residue. Could the turbo be blowing the oil out? Any ideas from the great minds?? P…

I am curios how often you guys change out your FASS fuel filters? I have a 95 series with upgraded Donaldson FF/FS and the Baldwin FWS. Been running those filters for about 9 months now. No pressure drop since I have installed them. Drained them a couple of times but no water present. Thanks ahead of time. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?sm4dni 2003 Ram with gauges and a Smarty! Not much more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How do I correctly identify which transmission is in my truck? I am not sure if it is a 47re or a 48re. The truck is the one in my signature. Production date= 1-03. codes in glove box = DGA and DG8.

I made a tentative appointment for Monday to bring my truck in to have the "free spin hubs" installed and replace the axle u-joints. Before anyone jumps me here, I'm not set up to do this work. I could do it myself, but don't have the space or the time now. It's better for me to borrow a truck until mine is done and make money to pay for the service I need.My question is this..........I've got almost right at 100,000 miles on the replacement BJ's and TR ends. These are greasable units. Should I have them checked/replaced???? Truck still drives great and is real tight in the wheel. I ask for the simple fact that the front end is gonna be mostly apart anyway with the hub…

I left early Friday AM with Scott and Vanessa heading to Kentucky to pick up 2 pups from the last litter my Lab Spud sired. Scott was getting one and Vanessa was get one for her niece as a surprise. Anyhow, I filled up the evening before about 2 miles from my house, and tripped the mileage counter back to 0, as well as the overhead. Picking up Scott and Vanessa probably added 40 miles to how I normally drive down there, but I don't think it would've mattered one bit. We left early (6:00AM), but it was hot by 8:30AM, so I clicked on the AC. It's hard to talk running down the highway with the window open!!! Got down to KY, hung out at Dougs with the pups, went and…

I'm getting a code P0193 fuel rail pressure sensor high. When I take a dvm to the 5v supply to ground I get only 7/10ths of a volt, almost like its a short. I attached the fsm wiring diagram and it looks like the MAP sensor is tied together through the DG/OR wire. So does MAP sensor get its 5v supply on the LB wire then out through the DG\OR wire to the rail pressure sensor? That's the way the picture looks like to me, but this schematic is different then what we use at my work. And why I'm I not actually getting the 5v to my rail pressure sensor, is it because the MAP sensor is out, but I'm not getting any map codes P0106,0107,or 0108 , I'm not getting any of these codes. …

My Pricol pyro started acting up this past winter, and after a few tows with it acting funny it was time to give it the boot. I really wanted a matched set, so I sold the other 4 Pricol's and ordered up a set of 5 ISSPRO EV2's. I have been wanting to change the locations of my a couple gauges and add a time delay relay for a while, so this worked out well. I had the alarms set to where I want them, which is a GREAT feature of the EV2. Boost 0-40, warning > 38 psi EGT 0-1600°, warning >1300° Fuel Pressure 0-20, warning <3 psi Oil Pressure 0-100, warning <15 psi Exhaust Backpressure 0-100, warning >65 psi The gauges came with …

What does, his code actually mean? I know it states fuel feedback circuit, but does it mean fuel is detected in the feedback to the tank? Or a abundant amount of fuel is detected in the feedback circuit? Thanks in advance ! --- Update to the previous post... Or if a injector isn't opening and delivering fuel to the cylinder head, could it cause this code?

I'm having troubles with my truck, I can't get it started right now. So I'm trying to go through a do some trouble shooting. One code though the truck is throwing is a P0193, I got a rail pressure gauge in the mail today ,but it hooks up electronically too so that not a lot of help. I was just going to replace the sensor, but what has thrown me off is that I hooked up the electronic rail pressure sensor and it pegs out, which makes sense because the truck says its reading high too. But when I unplug the harness from the sensor then try and crank the truck the gauge still pegs out. I would think it should just read 0, since its not hooked up to the sensor. which this kinda…

I picked up a 03 ram and it didn't have any of the keyless entry remotes with it, is there a cheap way for me to go to a stock remote? I would assume that would mean a trip to the dealer? Or should i check out something after market?
