Being a proud American, I'm displaying the "Stars and Stripes" proudly this weekend!!! Along with my NRA flag below. In these "rough" times when we've got a President that when traveling around the world apologizes for America and for what America stands for, we need to stand up and be even stronger and more steadfast in the face of this Liberal/Socialist/Communist/Marxist onslaught that was brought on by the last election. Hopefully; soon, this nightmare will, in time, soon pass. Happy Fourth Everyone!!!!! :thumbsup

So a buddy of mine was having computer problems and decided since he bought the computer at Best Buy he would take it back there for warranty. He had the computer 25 days when he took it in and he claimed it had been locking up like crazy from about day 10 but due to work couldn't get into Best Buy. The Geek Squad agent at the counter took the computer and told him they would give him a call when they figured out what was wrong with it. Finally on day 41 since his purchase they send it back with a note saying that he needs to re-install the operating system (Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit). Some how in the process of this he got soaked for a little over $60. Why i…

It is a mobil home and it started in my daughters room.We pulled carpet and pad.Painted the floor and walls with kilzs and it seems it is fighting back.So Ithought mabe it is not mold and looked at gray water lines. Got a plummer friend to come over and check what I did and he found a couple lines that where not right and rerouted them. It is a funky smell I dont know else to explain. I went and bought ac window unit to put in bed room and it is 65 degress in there I thought it would dry it out and kill mold. This guy must have put a lot of time into making these animations and some of them are quite interesting. You never really see most of these engines in action. http://www.animatedengines.com/index.shtml

So I was sitting at a turn light the other day and I see an older Ford Ranger in the opposing turn lane with its hazards on. Suddenly he pulls a U-turn and you can tell the truck is really trying to make it across to the gas station. All the sudden I see smoke pour out the bottom of the truck and you can see connecting rod fragments bounce off the asphalt. I turned my hazards on and drove over there to give him a hand pushing it. The guy was probably in his 70's and he looked at me and said "I don't know what's with this darn thing today, maybe it needs oil?" Unfortunately the block was completely windowed, so I pushed it into the gas station parking lot and called a…

Are any members here "self-employed" like I am????? I'm a farrier, and love it most of the time, but this is my busy time of year, and at times I get frazzled because people/customers start calling me like I'm 8 different people. Some of the work is genuine, but some of it is due to shear stupidity/ignorance. I'm considering charging a stupidity fee......for the work that I have to do because someone/horse owner/trainer was stupid. I take pride in my work, but sometime my customers won't let me do the best work I can because of their horse management/stupidity!!!!! Rant off!!!! :smart :smart

I dunno where we'll go to buy an American truck... How about a Cummins in a Fiat? I feel bad for the dealers being arbitrarily forced to close. The local Jeep dealer... the same dealer also has a Chrysler Dodge franchise some distance away... sold 400 Jeeps last year. Some dealers responded to Chrysler's call to buy up added inventory and now have their franchises pulled. WTF?A parrallel... wife drives a Subaru bought locally. Five Star dealer lost franchise arbitrarily a couple of years ago. This year, a new dealer opens up a couple of towns away. Why? There was nothing wrong with the local one. We keep getting solicitations from out of town Subaru deal…

My day started off pretty normal, looked like it was going to storm out but nothing was happening. I got in my truck and was driving down the road with the windows down and I couldn't help but think its was getting cold out quick. I pulled up to a traffic light where the car next to me caught my eye, it was a guy opening his door and starring off at the sky. He turned to me and said "Oh my god, do you see that!". Sure enough I looked up and saw a fairly pronounced funnel in contact with the ground. I decided to drive up a little farther to and get some pictures with my cell phone. Interesting to say the least, I haven't heard of anyone being hurt by this one so far.…

I don't usually allow pictures of me... Me & Great Grand Daughter lining up... What-cha-gotts-under-the-hood? Dusts me off the line! I barely got time to react! Shut 'er down, she's outta here! (Look at the determination on that face!)

Needless to say I had a very very bad day at work the other day. I had inspectors there, and due to circumstances and it just not being my day things feel apart. Amazingly through all the stress I kept cool about it and just finished my work and went home despite the fact I got a horrible survey. So even though my superiors told me that it was not my fault it was due to the circumstances I have a feeling the higher ups aren't going to see it that way and I may be in the job market come Thursday. The really sad part is I feel liberated by the idea of being fired. I have always hated the job. Anybody have any entry level job ideas that don't require college, or requir…

  12. I am currently running Ubuntu 9.04 on my system along side Windows XP (i own Vista but absolutely hated it). I have to say Ubuntu 9.04 really impressed me, it was easier to setup than Windows XP and imported all my documents, music, and videos without a hitch not to mention the fact it was free. However I have always been a huge supporter of open source software and don't mind working past a few bugs. So whats everyone else running?

http://www.ktvu.com/news/19501875/detail.html This guy was high on illicit Phencyclidine which is commonly known as PCP (angel dust). In his drug induced delirium he bit out one of his 4 year olds eyes and ate it. He also permanently damaged the child's other eye leaving him blind. The neighbors later found that he had chained himself up, was naked, and in the process of chopping into his own ankle with an axe. Mind you not, all this aggression was caused by a man that needed a wheelchair high on PCP.

Hey Gang... I want to let you guys know I had to retire from another forum because of the amount of email and posting. It was getting to be about 3-4 hours to answer 50-100 post per day. It was getting really hard on me. Also I was wanting to gear up for the summer time and want to enjoy the summer camping, fishing, riding 4 wheeler, hunting etc... I'm going to enojy my summer this year... So to make room for this I had to let a site go... But i'll most likely gear up and return to tech support at CF.com come winter time... Thread from CF.com http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/off-t ... f-com.html
