I have done axle swaps, but not to change the hubs.  I would recommend our part lookup tool in the articles, it should show the axle differences and parts needed if you don't want to swap the axles.

When I did my rear, the OEM style U bolts weren't available.  I upgraded to one step larger from 1/2 to 9/16.  I don't recommend re-using U bolts even if they aren't rusted to junk.

The only differences between the DRW and SRW Dana 80 is the spindles which allow for the duals.  So I would say for simplicity.....  You can run the axle you have which will result in the rear tires sticking out a couple inches.  Or just find a SRW Dana 80.  Because swapping in a Dana 70 will require a few changes including driveline length. :thumbup2:

If you run SRW's on a DRW axle the rear tires will be 1.5" wider.

Or you can swap in a SRW Dana 80 and it will be a direct swap.

If you use a Dana 70 you'll need different U-bolt hangers and to lengthen the rear driveshaft some.  I do have a set of hangers if you end up needing some.
