I am having an issue with my transmission/Charging system, I only have first gear until the vehicle warms up then it shifts hard to second. then finally shifts to third but doesn't downshift back to first just have 2nd and 3rd. Oh and the truck wont charge past 13.6. Also strange but if you drive it until its dead and jump start it the next day everything works fine for about 5 min.

So far I have changed

  • ESS
  • Alternator
  • Battery cables
  • Cleaned and tested all grounds
  • Replaced burnt harness at Transmission (thought this was wierd)
  • Gov. Pressure solenoid
  • Gov. pressure sensor
  • Transmission filter
  • Transmission fluid

Have you verified that the alternator is charging? check that you are getting 12v+ on the alternator and at the blue on the PCM transmission circuit. I had issues with that.
