When the truck is cold the oil temperature is fine when it warms up it goes down to 8 psi. When I accelerate it goes up.  I have a edge tuner so the gauge is correct.

:iagree:Electronic gauge sending sensors are known to go bad and cause inaccurate readings. Verify your oil pressure by use of a mechanical gauge. If the mechanical gauge shows good hot oil pressure then no further troubleshooting is needed. Just replace the oil sending sensor.

Many things can cause low oil pressure.

For starters how is the quality of oil? Fuel delusion? Is the engine making oil? Coolant in the oil? Low quality oil will cause excessive wear and out of spec bearing clearances.

Proper oil used for the application? I recommend 15W-40 conventional or 5W-40 synthetic diesel grade oil.

Is maintenance up to date? A plugged oil filter will cause low oil pressure. I recommend a quality filter like a Fleetgaurd LF16035 or Donaldson DBL7349.

There is a oil pressure regulator in the oil filter housing. If the regulator is sticking open it could cause low oil pressure. The most likely cause of this will go back to low quality oil.
