My buddy with the 2007.5 Dodge Cummins 4x4 ST 1 ton pickup wants to know if I can add factory cruise control to his pickup. He's tired of having to drive it on long trips without cruise control.

If it's possible, do I just need to get a new steering wheel and clock spring, and the required parts for under the hood, and add it with my AlfaOBD tool, or does he need to get a TIPM with cruise control functionality built in it?

I don't know if there are any aftermarket solutions to adding cruise control to a 3rd gen Dodge pickup or not.

You might need to have the ECM reflashed if the software isn't present for cruise control. You might contact a Dodge dealer and ask by VIN number if the ECM has the software present.
