DIY Heated Steering Wheel

Posted

Has anyone tried this? I’ve gotten spoiled by the heated steering wheel in my other vehicles, thought it might be worth trying this. I can see this seemingly simple install turning into a days long mess with an airbag exploding in my face.

Instructions Says "find the original holes for the hairspring" there won't be any clock spring for the heater if it wasn't equipped originally.

Hairsprings are hard to find.  I can't imagine trying to find a hairspring hole.

My wife found one at the hairdresser's...she keeps trowing mony down it.   I don't have the heart to tell her it hasn't helped.
