PCM Wiring Harness Interchangeable?

Posted

My front driveshaft ate my pcm wiring harness in the middle of nowhere, it ripped the entire harness out of its connectors. My question is, does anybody know if any pcm wiring harness from 1998-2001 will work in my 1998.5 24v? I’ve seen someplace that only 98 and 99 are compatible but I’ve seen nobody saying why. When I compare the two harnesses from photos they look the same?

Afraid that’s not possible in my case, the harness got ripped to shreds and sent all over the highway and what was left was wrapped up tighter than a drum around the driveshaft.

Just thinking of it more... It would have to be for your year of truck being map sensor plugs are different. Then there are a few other setups where the pins are swapped around.
