Future swap question for a 24V 6bt

Quick question: for my next project truck I have an option to get a 24V 6bt w/ a 6 speed trans....is there a way to push this back to a mechanical system and not have to have an ECM? Swap the pump for a p-pump is all that is needed, what else maybe?

Answered my own question: asked a work buddy at the engine plant and he says you CAN, but not recommended....too much going on in the 24V to make it work right.....unless someone here knows a workaround

If swapped to a p-pump, I'm really not sure what else there would be going on with it for it to be too much. If you p-pump it, its my understanding that you really have no reason to even have all the sensors n such that aren't on a 12v. Maybe I'm wrong.

First problem, there is no 24 valve 6BT engine. They were all 12-valved engines. Then the 6-speed NV5600 was released in 2000 with the high output 24V 5.9L ISB engine trucks. Now as for getting rid of the ECM it won't happen because you need the ECM for gauges like coolant and oil pressure. The p-pump was a bad choice for swapping to being its a static timed pump and had zero advancement technology where the VP44 has a full range of 30 degree BTDC worth of advancement. Cluster requires the ECM to report the oil pressure, volts come from the PCM, fuel gauge from the PCM and the coolant temperature.
