Id like to put an exhaust brake on my 04 but it has an automatic transmission. I know on the 06s that they can come factory to accept a jacobs brake because the ecm keeps line pressure higher or something like that. So heres my question I have already wired up a tc lock up switch when I get an aftermarket tc and a valve body is this enough to handle an exhaust brake? Or should I just invest in say like a bd or ats transmission that says that it will accept an exhaust brake

There are lots of people running EB's on their pre-06 auto's. I would look at the PXRB if it were my truck, or the Banks.I am pretty sure the PXRB will work on an 04 auto, but give them a call. I know the banks will.

Ok thanks I will have to look into it more I just wasnt sure if the transmission as is would do much since it would only slow speed as long as the tc was locked
