Hi, I know this must be in here somewhere but can't seem to find what I need. I would like to wire my DRL's up to a switch (on off on ) so up is on with the high beams and off in the center and on all the time with the down position. Anybody have the proper wiring diagram for this?

Your DRLs are just the headlights on. I don't think it will do anything for your high beams. Do you mean make it so the low beams are on with the high beams?

So follow wire diagram above? It also appears you use the relays that are already in place? Question, what does the trailer circut do?

No I do not use any of the stock stuff... Everything is seperate from stock.

Trailer relay is the trigger to turn on. (Trailer relay has to remain because I do tow trailers!)

Fog lamp relat is the trigger for hi/lo beams. (No fog lamp relay present)

[*]The fog lamps follow the setting that the main headlights are on. So if you select high beams the fog lamps will follow and go to high beam mode. If you select low beams the fog lamps will follow by going to low beam mode. You never have to worry about blinding some one with this system.

[*]If you go from headlight to parking lamps the fog lamps are forced to low beam mode regardless of the pervious head light mode. But if you use the dimmer switch to wink the high beam the fog lamps will follow. But will return to low beam mode when released.

[*]When the headlights are turned off the fog lamps are forced off as well. You don't have to worry about shutting down a second switch. My kit also includes a bypass shutdown switch too. This allows you to run only your stock headlights without the fog lamps.

[*]The kit requires tapping a few signal wires. But the lights are completely supplied by there own fuse from the battery. This will not put any extra load on you headlight circuit. The kit requires a signal from the trailer relay and a signal from the fog lamp relay. That's it!

Ya OK I see what you did now, I was just going to mount a DPDT switch and have up for high beams (triggered by the HB) and center shuts them off and switch down for on all the time. I may use your method though but only thing is I couldnt have on all the time, but really that is not of use anyway.

That what the toggle switch is for to turn them off... So you can still select the fog lamps or leave them off...

OK I wired up as per your diagram and all is good except there is not a triggered signal from either the high or low beam. In the diagram it shows that there should be 12V low and 0V high, I have 12V all the time. I actually cannot find a pin that comes on for the high or low beam. Does there have to be a relay in this socket for that to work? My truck (2002) does not have the fog light option but the plug is there in the front and the relay socket is there and marked as "fog light relay" any suggestions?

I got go fog lamp option either... Nor do I have a relay in the socket... Look in the socket and see if there is actual terminals?

Yes there are terminals, I have power to the terminal marked in your diagram just all the time. It is not controlled by the high beam switch

That's odd... Probe the 5 ports for a one that does change... Also the change will not occur till the headlights are on...

Ya, I have tried them all, with the lights on high and low and everything in between. Very strange. I really dont want to splice into a headlight wire as that is just trouble down the road.

I guess the other option is toggle switch then...
