Does anyone have an 03 auto with the manually controlled high idle that works off the cruise control? I hooked my smarty up to my brothers 03 and noticed it didnt work. Ive been trying to do some research on it but its all different results:shrug:. Some thing I read said that it wont work on the 03-04s but I have an early 04 built in 03 and it works on that.

Fast idle should work on all 04's. It works on the rare 03 that has the updated cruise control buttons.. so I have heard. But for the most part its an 03+ feature.

The truck and engine were both made in 3-03 so it would be an early model. also his steering wheel is a different design than what mine is so maybe it wont work. I was really talking it up to him

Yeah with the different steering wheel I am 99.999999^999999% sure it wont work.

Thats what I was thinking too. Ive been sending emails back and forth with mads and they claim it is supposed to work. So I will see what they have to say next

Unfortunately there is a language barrier and application specific info that sometimes makes getting 100% accurate info out of MADS difficult.

 Ya thats true. I was reading a tsb tho and from what it was giving me, his engine serial number and date code fell under the ones that should work

Ya. This is what I was reading up on http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2004/18-004-04.htm I do see tho that it says model year 2004 so maybe what it means that it would work on the engines that are before a certain date and serial number but the engine would have to be in an 04 with the newer steering wheel.

Based on what I have heard the steering wheel is everything, so the rare 03 with the new wheel are effected by the TSB, but it's generally 04+.
