So I was reading this article and was thinking of doing it. I had a few questions. First what did you put the light in? A tractor pod? How does it attach to the axle, and do they sell the holder at napa. Second set of questions is how did you wire in the switch? It was a bit confusing. Thanks :hyper:

--- Update to the previous post...

I knew I should of reread it... I see to get the override switch to work you just bridge the reverse switch. so my next question is where is that?

All I used for mounting was a couple of chunks of angle stock and use 2 bolts from the pumpkin then used standard old tractor rubber buckets. As for the switch the manual only has the reverse switch on the shift tower. So in your case your going to have to tap into the reverse light lead and supply power to the lead. I also used a relay in setup to keep the bulb load off the reverse lights (stock) but pulled power from the trailer (+12V) lead.

Yea I was going to use a relay. I just need to figure out how to keep a supplied 12+ volts from back feeding to the reverse lights. Sent from my iPhone

No back feed will occur with this setup... But your an Auto so you modify your trigger a bit differently...

Ok... got the wiring plan done... wire and lamps acquired. My last question is where does one get the rubber tractor mounts. I can find them all day with a bulb in them already. I really don't want to pay 15+ a light just to have a bulb I cant use. So you have a place I might be able to find these?

My local NAPA store was cool about it they would pull the the bulbs out re-stock them and replace them with the specified bulbs. Then charge me accordingly. Check around...
