Got a question anOut my AC. Put some gauges on and the pressure seems ok. The problem is the clutch engages but turns slowly. Squirted it out with electric cleaner but didnt help. Do these go bad? It doesn't "snap" into engage, it just slowly starts turning. Could something else be stopping It?

You might have to test and see if the A/C clutch is actually seeing 12 volt signal. If it is and the clutch is not snapping down tight and twisting with the pulley then the clutch might be bad or the clutch electro-magnet might of failed.

Got 12 v at the plug deal. Electromagnet seems to be working, tried to help it spin and it grabbed the screwdriver I was holding and flung it , can I check the operation of the clutch somehow? How hard to change it.

I hate to disagree but you don't need a special puller, two big screw drivers and you can get the clutch off.Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2

 Wow! I always was told the clutch required a special tool to remove even the FSM shows it... post-2-138698189299_thumb.jpg
