All, Friend of mine called and said during a 4-3 downshift while decellerating, he heard a snapping sound and his RPM surged as he let off the clutch pedal. Now the clutch isn't engaging, and it appears that the linkage to the fork is intact. The pedal has no slack, and the truck will not transfer any power from the engine to the wheels in any gear. I am on a job and can't get eyes on the problem, but appeal for your experience. Any ideas?

Could of broke the input shaft or the clutch hub? :shrug:He's going to end up pull the trans just so he can see what's up with the truck.

I am leaning toward the center section of the clutch broke out... Since that might take the pressure plate load off the pedal. We will see what he says when he pulls the trans.
