Posted December 1, 201212 yr Crankshaft sensor replacement easy job right.... Well after 5 hours of spraying and wiggling, spraying and wiggling, i finally lost my patience and managed to break it off flush with the block. Anybody have any tips on what to do next?
December 1, 201212 yr Owner Hmmm... Drill a small hole in it to try to hook it and pull it back out. :think:When you install the new one make sure to put lots of anti-seize on it.
December 1, 201212 yr I was almost ready to use a drill and deck screw. You are correct! there was just enough corrosion/hard dirt/grease on the outside of the O ring to really ballthings up.I found by pulling out, it actually got tighter. (until the PB BLASTER took effect)
December 1, 201212 yr Author Managed to drill a couple holes at about 45deg and stick a punch in and pry it out. I think sitting over night with the penetration oil on it is what helped the most. Now has all sort of anti-seize on it. Thx for the replys.
