Has anyone tried a stacked rotary switch similar to the switch on the bottom of pg 3 of the attached link to get everything into one switch with multiple positions for each of the functions/combinations needed to get both the High Idle & MPG Foolers into one pkg? I haven't sat down and sketched it out to see if it's even possible, just thought I'd check before playing it all out. It would require more then one of each resistor but they're cheap and would reduce the wires through the firewall to 4 and just one switch. No idea how many "stacks" the switch would need or number of "load" terminals for all the possible combinations involved but I'll work that out. It is more complicated then the original design but would result in a cleaner install. Would definitely need an index list for all the positions. Input on the concept would be greatly appreciated. http://www.alliedelec.com/images/products/datasheets/bm/NKK_SWITCHES_OF_AMERICA/70192244.pdf

Mike, Did you ever come up with a schematic drawn out? I think I found one on the CF, but it's a little vague and only shows one switch for all the functions.:think:

Thanks Mike!!! Can't get any clearer than that.:thumbup2: Is there a way to get the MPG fooler working in that scenario also?

There is a way to daisy chain the MPG fooler into the IAT setup. I'll have to draw that one..:rolleyes:

Because, you ARE that good!!!!!!:woot::wink::thumbup2:

Looks doable to me...so how do I tell if the ecm has been flashed to enable the high idle as my scan tool is for my 94 Explorer and will not read the CTD.?:think:

Thanks for all the info....it is 12 f outside so I should get at least 6 cyl high idle when I start the old girl up,lets give it a whirl.

Started her up and it never changed the idle,900 rpm at 20 f. Being new to this what should the idle be normally and on high idle?

Best example.

Actually there is a goof on the 3/6 cyl mode switch in the drawing. :duh:

wtf??? Now I have to start all over................................. :)

Just look at the original switch layout... You'll see my goof... :banghead:

Saw it. Two resistors on the 3/6 mode switch ran back on themselves. bad mike.:nono::lol:

Mike, in your drawing, the resistors go in this order?: 3/6 mode gets the 39k &56k resistors. mpg fooler gets the 3.3k resistor, correct?:pray:

You have 3 resistors in your drawing....:think:

Thanks Mike! Does the ECT fooler need to be used with the high idle switches too?Sorry for all the questions, just want to do this right the first time. lol:cool:
