I have an 03 one ton dually 2wd SLT. The overhead console where miscellaneous readouts like compass, fuel mileage, current outside temperatue, etc... gives eratic readings. Example: Today the outside temp was showing 130 degrees Farenheight, but it was actually around 50 degrees. It's not a big deal, I can just turn the whole thing off and it don't bother me as bad, but if someone else has had this problem and knows an easy fix, I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Disconnect and clean the plugs on the ambient temp sensor. It will be a black sensor up by the radiator.

I have heard about this before, I just cannot recall the issue.

 

Do the other features work?

 

The sensor in on the drivers side of the intercooler, just to the left of the headlight.
