i see people talking about logging data from the OBD2 and watch the requested rail pressure and the given one. what type of scanner would i need for this? can i go buy one. as we all know the scangauge2 does not. is there a scanner i could afford or doe sit have to be one of the shop style ones.

thoughts are welcome. thank you.

to see if my CP3 is taking a dump. or why i'm down on power.

99% of the time its injectors. Most likely bleeding rail pressure back to the return. Fca very rarely go bad. Also I have never seen a cp3 bad. Injector return test might be needed

Cummins insite would show both parameters... but its pricey for just an individual to get.
