Posted February 4, 201510 yr Anyone using these Bluetooth devices on our trucks? http://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-Bluetooth-diagnostics-Android/dp/B005NLQAHS http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WOQLh1iGN60 Seems like a good deal for ten bucks plus a 5 Dollar app. I was looking at a scan gauge, but this looks pretty interesting. Any thoughts? Edited February 4, 201510 yr by AGPTurbo
February 4, 201510 yr I have a bluetooth OBDII adapter I use with torque pro on my truck when I pull to see and record IAT and RPM, I also use it on any vehicles I need to read codes from. It works great for me. Tip: when looking at OBDII bluetooth adapters make sure you get one that supports version 1.5 or higher, there are a lot of chinese knockoffs that are only version 1.4 and can have problems with some vehicles/apps. February 4, 201510 yr I have one and it works. Most of the info is metric. I think me74??? Is working on or playing with one to get more info out of it.
February 4, 201510 yr Author The torque pro app seems awesome. I was just concerned with the way our tucks are set up with essentially 2 brains working together because of the separate manufacturer computers. Doing some searching on this site, I saw some talk about the appropriate pid's for certain app communications, but I'm guessing the improvements in the little devices have come a long way. The link for the bafx seems like it is the most popular and reliable, and looks pretty powerful when combined with the torque pro app. Edited February 4, 201510 yr by AGPTurbo
