  1. A lot of you don't understand why the makeup. I'll admit I fell apart last night; it's Christmas / New Year's again. Both of my bladder cancers came for Christmas. What most people don't get is the fact that what I love to do is out of my reach. Let's roll back the clock and understand that as a kid at the 14 years old I was gifted a socket set (Craftsman) and fell in love with mechanical things. I was building go-karts and mini-bikes with friends. I was fixing lawn mowers and small single-cylinder engines. Then, at the age of 16, I got my Dad's 1973 Dodge Charger SE as my first car. Hence, my nickname came from my first car. Now fast forward to 2002 and buying my first Diesel truck and dove in with both feet into a world I've never done and became an" internationally known diesel mechanic". Now, for 2018 and 2023 Christmas was a lonely and frightening trip to a hospital, and a fight for my life. It's been rather tough to figure out where I'm going from here since my shop is nothing more than a frozen dirt pile today. I have some basic tools to keep things going here, but still missing a lot of tools and equipment. As much as I want to be that diesel mechanic, I can't because of health issues stemming from my kidneys, left side is 82%, and my right is 17% remaining. In this condition a infection would kill me, so I can't really be out and covered in grease and dirt. I can't lift more than 40 pounds because of a hernia risk with my stoma. I want to continue doing what I love, but at the same time, it's nearly impossible to jump into doing major work in Thor to just build articles. It's just too cold and getting difficult for me handle long-term cold without heat and an enclosed shop.

Then another realization, Titanium has a birthday and is officially 2 years old. Yes, this means I've been doing daily makeup work for 2 years now and taking my art to the streets. My makeup work was my way of dealing with depression and trying to do something that brought happiness back, while doing something that was very scary at the time, dealing with chemotherapy treatments and the possibility of death. Titanium is my way of finding some enjoyment in my day, as I can't just go down to the shop and fix another problem with a truck, to build a website article is gone. I have to be thankful for the fact that I created the Titanium character to keep me going during a very tough time. Happy Birthday, Titanium!
  2. Makeup artistry

Now, to speak up on another fact. Just because I've changed my appearance with makeup and hair, it typically doesn't make me less knowledgeable. My typical day is that if I'm planning on going to town, I'll always do my makeup work before I leave. I was referred by a local repair shop in McCall (Sharlies Auto Repair) to a Cummins owner for tuning his Quadzilla. Even on a day like that, I was dressed up and rolled to this client's house to chat with him about tuning and getting his truck ready for a trip. This shocked my client that seen the makeup and dress code. But after talking to him for a short while and built a quick base tune to roll to Oregon for the holidays. He's totally sold on my abilities to diagnose and fix anything Dodge Cummins. When this client shows back up after the holidays, I'll be guiding him and his roommate on how to repair both of their trucks. I might not be able to turn the wrenches, but I can give guidance to people on how to fix their trucks.

Wound up going into Riggins for a few odds and ends groceries. I stopped by the deli counter for a chicken strip to munch on for the ride home. The gal working behind the counter was fixed on my face. After getting my chicken strip, she said, "I really do love the makeup you did on your eyes!" Quite fascinating doing the makeup work I do, and the many comments and even people to come up and just ask, "Why? What's your story?" I can break out a quick tale of my cancer and move forward. Just totally awesome to be me and add the style of Victorian Goth with my jacket.

  3. Titanium Live on TikTok

Today I was stuck inside the house being its raining here in Idaho. While the mornings are cold here, I was checking back on a few videos near Christmas time. Sadly, I saw a few artists who were having a rough start to getting the Goth/Emo/Alt makeup. Either being laughed at or just treated poorly by people on the streets or at school. I'm going on 3 years of makeup artistry that I've self-taught. @Tweety Bird asked me to get the new weather station set up and working. I needed a 4x4x12 to get it up above the roof line for now. As I was rolling into New Meadows, I was still thinking about the videos I've seen and wanted to speak out for these new makeup artists. I got over to C&M Lumber and purchased a nice 4x4x12 pressure-treated, low-knot. I left C&M lumber and drove across Highway 55 and up this side road just a bit, and stopped in the road and broke out the phone. Tried to make a video but naw sounded dorky. Packed up and left. Got up the highway on 95 heading home had another thought and pulled over. Tried again. Just couldn't get the thought right. Drove on for home. Found a spot just before I drop out of cell range and fired up the camera again and created this video...

    https://www.tiktok.com/@titaniumgoth/video/7586810780318846221

What I've learned is that it doesn't matter what you do in life. Be happy doing what you do! Like for me, I didn't want the depression and BS because I can't work on Cummins trucks as a wrench job any longer. Yeah, I have trouble doing simple tasks because this ostomy bag is on my belly. I'm still alive and still have all my knowledge of these trucks. Still going to do what I enjoy tinker in my spare time when the weather is good. In the meantime, I'm enjoying "Titanium". I've been growing on TikTok with 600+ followers. I've impressed quite a few people with my makeup artistry. I still do daily makeup when I leave the house. So I want to show these artists that you can do it! First thing is to learn how to "Own That Look". @Tweety Bird is going to start popping up in the photos too, as she enjoys the colored hair and being colorful too.

I'm going to start looking for a period of time to go Live very soon.

OH! Just so you all know, if you click (or tap) on the banner photo, it will open up to full size too.
  4. Fire in the Eyes

This is one of my first attempts at blending many colors evenly. This case told me she was going to wear green. Christmas colors, so I went to the wild side and took the fire-red wig and makeup to boot. I've been watching several makeup artists explain how they blend colors. Now, I'm combining the artwork I currently do with the tapered color down each side of my nose and outward toward the outside of my eyebrows. Since getting her eye surgery and correcting her vision, that is a huge blessing and makes it fun for her to enjoy her own style of makeup artistry.

We had to be out and about on Christmas Eve. While we were out in McCall, ID, we figured on picking up a few odds and ends for Christmas time, like snack food and such. It was fascinating to see all the people giving us stellar comments about being festive and colorful. I've been enjoying the makeup work for 2 years. Yeah, it's been 2 years since my bladder cancer, when I started. Still, every day I do makeup when I'm out and about. I'm always challenging myself a bit more each time.
  5. Titanium story continues

Titanium's story continues in public. I've got followers all over the place. At Starbucks coffee in McCall, the two gals who work there started to ask questions about my appearance with my colored wigs and makeup. When I was done explaining the story of my cancer, they both were impressed with my ideas of heading towards a Goth/Emo/Alt appearance. While I was still in the Albertson store, which has Save-On Drugs and the Starbucks coffee, two kids stopped me to tell me they loved my hair color. Compliments from other people are truly amazing.

Today, I had to run into town to handle some banking for us. I ran into an old client I had worked with on his Toyota, and he gave great comments about me wearing my Victorian Tail Coat and basic black makeup. He told me to stay in touch and stop by once in a while. Then I stopped by the Riggins One Stop fuel station. I needed to drain the ostomy bag. While I was there, I said hi to the staff, and one gentleman who lives in the RV park out back gave me wonderful comments about my appearance. After he understood the story of my cancer, he fully supported my dress code and makeup artistry. He's now a follower on TikTok.

No, my other passion for makeup artistry will never stop at this point. Even my wife loves the aspect that I'm doing makeup and getting rather good at it. As for all my abilities, like Computer repair and Network Administrator, Diesel Mechanic, and now cosplay and makeup artistry. I've made the choice that I'm just roll along and enjoy life to the best of my abilities. This means slowly start building articles as a diesel mechanic, but it will be rare to find photos now of me without a wig or makeup. Nearly 3 years of doing makeup artistry.
  6. Beast gets a new radiator!

Finally, I'm getting back to doing things with the trucks. Beast has been rolling on a blown radiator for 2 years with a 200℉ with zero pressure. Yeah, I bought time (too much) and just clipped off the vacuum breaker part of the radiator cap. Now I'm getting the radiator installed in Beast and have a 16 PSI pressure once again.

First off I gotta show off my mini shop for now so I can keep our vehicles in working order. It's tiny but its dry space somewhat. We are still sorting out stuff and getting @Tweety Bird moved into the house. The garage here in the main house is small.

Let's get that coolant drained. Opps! this a screw plug type of drain. Unscrew the drain and then still your hand in front of the stream and deflect the flow into the 5-gallon bucket. Yup, a mess.

Typical removal, nothing out of the ordinary. The new radiator is fully assembled and ready to drop into the truck. I got the new radiator all installed and pulled the 200℉ thermostat and saw the inside of the block at 501k miles. Well water and coolant is doing awesome, barely any surface rust on the cast block.

Just a tip to all of you that do a radiator drain and flush, just make sure to pull the thermostat and replace it while you're there. The refill can be done with the thermostat out, so the block can burp air out quickly. Nice green hue with a 50/50 mixture of coolant. Now drop in the thermostat and run the three 8mm bolts back in snug.

  7. Email Server

Geez, when it fouls up, it dies well! 🙄

Now that I'm fixing the other parts of the server, I'm running into email problems with other members. Keep your email inbox in good repair and status. If I can no longer reach you by email means, then I have no recourse but to delete your account completely. I'm no longer going to hold on to accounts with broken email addresses. Again, if your email box is flagging our email as spam, I'll be forced to delete your account. I'll attempt to contact you by the listed phone number and/or PM you on the website, hoping to get a corrected email address.

I'm no longer going to use my private email address for the website notifications. I've created a new no-reply@mopar1973man.com for all the notifications from the website. This email address will not be checked, nor will anyone respond from this address. If you need to be in contact with me, it should be worked out on the website in the forums or PM, depending on the nature of the issue. Checking email and website messages is just too much to chase, so we are going to keep the majority of the communication in the open forum. This way, if I'm not available because of medical reasons or traveling, then other staff and members can still help out till I return.

Make sure to "whitelist" the email address of no-reply@mopar1973man.com this is required to keep communication going between Mopar1973Man.Com and yourself.
  8. Starting Over

Ever since the landslide that wiped out my shop, displaced my good friend Mark Hall and his dog Hachi into my basement bedroom. It's been complete hell trying to find tools that remain and attempting to repair vehicles and house repairs, too. It's been a bad summer, and it just seems to get worse here at home, and frustrating. Winter is coming, and snow is not far away now. Just want to close this chapter and attempt a better start in the spring of the year.

The last few months have been a pain in the tail. Asking people to go get firewood, and we will pay them. Then have one person who brought 2 cords at $200 a cord. Great, we have a bit of firewood. Sadly this person knew me and played my heartstrings and asked if I would front him the money so he could be with his family in the hospital. Of course I did! Sucker!!! I've been taken advantage of again! He never delivered the promised 3 cords of wood. There is so much more to even talk about. Simply put, it has just been a rough year between having bladder cancer, losing my bladder and prostate, then having the mudslide destroy my shop and guest house.

I'm hoping Dischinger can help out just one more time to blade a driveway for me, and so I can mark off my septic tanks and hopefully keep people off the top of my tanks this winter. The yard is a total mud pit for now. That's fine too, because I don't even have a lawn to mow right now. It's all been trashed by the trackhoe and skidsteer. I still have a huge pile of dirt and garbage to sort through in time.

Let me toss in a bit of good news. @Tweety Bird and I will be getting married, which was supposed to happen this summer, but the entire landslide and house move ruined that timing. We as planning on a simple courthouse wedding for now to get the legal parts done with. Hopefully, God willing, we will have the celebration up on Heaven Gate Summit by next summer.

Second bit of good news, my kidneys are healing very slowly, and some of the herbal stuff I've found is helping heal them up. There is a bit more...

Finally, after a lot of hassle with Home Depot, I could replace my toolbox and get a base set of tools. I'll admit the price of tools is expensive to start over this way. Ugh! The first order I made didn't work out, and I had to rebuild the order a second time, and the shipping cost doubled. I called Home Depot to get them to help out with building the second order. Ok, everything is waiting to ship. Shipping starts, and the toolbox was last. Finally, we get a phone call for Home Depot. They wanted to inform me that the toolbox was damaged and they are willing to cut some price off and just sell it to me. Then, 2 hours later, I got a second call to inform me that the toolbox was too badly damaged to sell, so they canceled the order and refunded the funds. We ended up heading to Lewiston, ID, to deal with this. Sadly, it wasn't don't good at the start, but we got the manager to step up and reorder the toolbox for me.

As for Thor, I'm going to start working on the project truck and start to hopefully build information for CR engines.
  9. Titanium getting ready for Halloween

I'm still experimenting with makeup artistry. Been more focused on the dirt work in the yard, but there are a few days I was messing around. @Tweety Bird wanted to see a few new colors of hair for me. How about fire red? Then I've even been to a funeral for one of my friends, I was dressed in full black and black makeup. The fire red hair, I really enjoy wearing when you get comments about being seen all the way across the store, like Walmart. I love to dress up and interact with the public. The black was a way for me to dress up for a funeral for my friend Dan Catherman. Just after the landslide, he was down helping me hike up the mountain to look at the landslide from top down. Rest in Peace, my friend.
  10. Driveway is finally clear and we can access the house normally!

Yeah I'm finally getting this cleaned up and can focus on getting my driveway back. As of right now the driveway is rough but accessible for vehicles to the front door. After I clean up the trash pile we will have parking area for all the vehicles here on the property. I'm racing against winter time to make sure I can keep my driveway cleared and open.

The videos are while I was digging for the shop stuff and Mark personal stuff, if I got lucky but most everything in the house and shop was crushed by heavy slabs of concrete. Finally, I got my driveway cleared in a rough method. It has been long days and a lot of diesel fuel for digging like this. I've had to double-stack all my dirt and debris pile against the mountainside. This is only a temporary place for just the wintertime. I've still got to rebuild a shop at some point so I can even maintain my own vehicles. The driveway is clear but I've got a huge trash pile to sort out, hopefully before the snow comes. Take the wood and move it to the lower yard to be burned this late fall.
  11. Meet Stormy Rose.

This was so awesome. I ran into a older couple that shared photos of their son and all the stellar comments. Their son did the whole punk theme, mohawk hair, and in blue green color. Checked out of the store with our groceries to run into Stormy Rose, she is a young artist who started her own version of Goth makeup, very impressive artwork for even her age, super cool interaction.

  12. I've been working on improving the server's performance over the last few days. I've done some memory management with the Apache server and PHP compiler. The CLS issue should come to a close very, very soon. I've been testing the code every night to ensure it's working properly. The page shouldn't jump much at all now.

I've got Redis Cache loaded up to see if I can gain a bit more speed or use less time to paint a webpage for members using mobile phones. I've gotta give it some time for the cache to load up with page information and start working. This takes time.

Now between the Redis and the changes to the MySQL server memory settings I've managed to improve performance here and make it load faster for most of us desktop users. My lab data for testing mobile devices is actually slower than I like but it should be nearly a passing grade.
  13. Fuel pressure!

I've been playing with Thor to see if I could fix the AirDog 150 to get closer to 15 PSI. I found a spring at my local hardware store, and it was way thicker, but after a bit of trimming work, I got the fuel pressure to settle at 22 to 25 PSI. Yeah, I know it's high, but I wanted to be sure the CP3 is loading fully and getting good, solid rail pressure. I'm struggling to understand the grid heater light, and it typically trips on deceleration. I'm doing more testing to figure out my issues. Today I've got to run back to McCall to return core calipers for my core money. Thor is going to do the task.
  14. Whoa! Rear brakes are rusted.

Yeah, I just got done doing brakes on Beast. Both rear brake calipers had rusted pistons that were so jammed that I couldn't seat them. @Tweety Bird was telling me just get it repaired, we need the trucks to function properly. I most likely got a little tear in the rubber boots, and the road salt finally ate the calipers up before the pads were even worn out on the passenger side. The driver's side rear pads were nearly gone due to the rusted pistons. In my position, without a shop, it makes it rather tough to get creative with rebuilding calipers. Yeah, part changer, but at least Beast is safer to drive.
  15. Titanium takes the family out!

Yeah, with all the stress of dealing with the mess in the yard, then the mess of everyone crammed under one roof. It gets to everyone here, so sometimes you just gotta get dressed up and grab a truck and go wander out in the woods looking for camping spots and even take Mollie, our fur baby, with us. @Tweety Bird found me a light ash blue wig and even picked up the lipstain as well. @Tweety Bird She is such an awesome fiancée, she is always trying to add to my Titanium makeup and clothing. We loaded up in Thor and took off up Smokey Boulder Road looking for different camping spots. We found several spots that are deeper back in the forest but close to the Boulder Creek so we can go fishing. Oh yeah, Huckleberries are out and OMG! I found a hotspot back in the woods, just full of berries.

Here lets just post the video.
  16. During our digging around the shop, we found my old Atari 800 computer stuff. Sadly, the computer is most likely destroyed. How does this mean anything? My computer adventure began at a very young age, around 14. My parents bought me an Atari 800 computer. This computer was the starting adventure of communications, even before the Internet was out. I bought myself a 2,400 baud modem and a few other bits and pieces for the Atari 800, but I created my very own BBS. BBS stands for Bulletin Board System. I made a deal with my parents to take over the phone line at night after 6 pm and run the site till 6 am. I created all my own software between the two cartridges above. The basic language was what I ran for the BBS software. Then the Assembler Editor allowed me to create and edit even current software.

Back in 1984, Fidonet was just getting started, and I was working on adapting Atari Basic software to get Fidonet node messages and download all my messages for my BBS. This was my start of communications back in 1984 using an Atari 800 Computer, an Indus GT floppy drive, a 2400 baud modem, Atari 835 UART to Serial, etc.

By the time I was finishing ITT Tech in 1989, I had built my own voice reader for my message coming off of Fidonet. Shortly after that, I moved to Idaho and then started Cloud 10 Computers. I was a computer technician till 2008 when the market crashed. During this time, I was building and selling computers for the locals around me. I was good with Windows right up to the time of Windows Vista. This is where I made the jump around 2010 and switched over to Ubuntu Linux and continued my adventure into the communication world using Linux software, as I still do this very day. I figure you all would love to see how a kid back in 1984 playing with a computer became the owner of Mopar1973Man.Com and still maintains the server on my own!

Ubuntu Software version list and release dates - I started with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS then currently using Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

As for web server software, I have used CentOS7 Linux and now AlmaLinux 8 Linux
    https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1b/Linux_Distribution_Timeline.svg

As a side tidbit the 2008 market crash was also a switch where I dropped Cloud 10 Computers and switched over to working on the website and Mopar1973Man.Com LLC as a shop and doing diesel repairs. Sadly I was pushed pretty hard to keep up during my @MoparMom kidney failure doing 5 years of dialysis to keep her going. She pasted away in 2020. Then twisted with my start of cancer in 2018.

  17. Thor might be fixed?

With Beast leaking oil out front and rear main seals, needing tires, and closing in on 500k miles. Beast needs work to keep him going. Mark suggested to try looking into Thor. Luckily my fuel pressure test gauge made it and was intact and undamaged. I checked the fuel pressure key on, engine off, barely 7 to 8 PSI of fuel pressure. Now start the engine, the fuel pressure drops to 2-3 PSI with WOT stab of the throttle. Ugh! Now I pulled the check ball and spring and did my typical spring mod bending the last coil to block the ball from getting in the coil. Now shimmed it with two washers. Barely made 10 PSI. The grid heater light is off. I'm going to replace all the fuel filters see if it improves the pressure and stability.

A simple job like this should be much more than a few minutes to fix. When your tools are all scattered and the box is in ruins. We are still missing sockets and tools in the dirt of the yard. Highly frustrating to spend nearly an hour to find 1 socket, 1 ratchet, and just take the fitting out and modify a spring. Absolutely frustrating!

Let's see if Thor holds up now. Time and mileage will tell!
  18. Titanium goes to town

@Tweety Bird and myself were not feeling well last night, so we slept long and hard. I got up this morning and she was requesting I head to town and get hamburger buns, and we would have something simple to eat for today.

As usual, my local people know me and always love the makeup and the effect it brings to people. A couple of the female store employees have colored their hair green and purple. I always give people compliments about their appearance, and I always get right back as well. As for my appearance is with the purple hair again and similar makeup as my previous blog post.

Left the grocery store and headed for the fuel station with Thor. Yeah, I've still got an injector issue, but I needed to bring home fuel in that truck as a fallback. I crossed paths with an older lady, and she looked like the outdoors type. She commented on my hair and appearance. As always, I thank the person for the comment. I put my fuel into Thor and saw her return and start to chat with her as my fuel was just completed. Find out we are both ostomy patients and she was highly impressed with my positive attitude for a person who survived bladder cancer twice, getting married this summer to @Tweety Bird and doing makeup artistry that most people think is impressive. I darted back to Thor and grabbed a business card for contact info, and often to share my knowledge of my ostomy journey to hopefully aid her.

My own journey with losing the shop, digging to find anything that might have survived the mudslide. Trying to keep things around here in good repair without tools is rather tough. Slowly, we are trying to order the needed tools and stuff right now to keep even the internet and communications going. Yeah, I found a damaged CAT5 cable and am attempting to keep the WiFi going in the house.

I got interrupted by Mark's dog barking, and it was the mail lady who 4WD around the outside of the debris pile to deliver our mail today. I told her Thank you for getting the mail to the door for us. She was even asking how we are doing and gave her a more detailed rundown on what's up and going on.
  19. I'm back at it again. I'm looking to make this website a hotrod as well. Still having issues with the Total Blocking Time of JavaScripts. I'm playing with the Google Pagespeed Module now on the server to help clean up the wasted bandwidth on unneeded things. It's all about being able to trim off the unused code and compress the required code, and get it sent to your desktop, tablet, or phone quickly. Part of this might take some time as the pagespeed module learns and creates methods of saving bandwidth and time for all of you surfing here.
I will say for the most part, the CLS (content Layout Shift) is corrected, and it was the Google AdSense attempting to lay down ads and skew the page by pushing the content down, and there is a score system to this. Currently, through my testing, I'm well below the threshold of a problem, but my biggest move, which is tiny 0.02, is looking for the staff banner. Not bad, I'd say.
If anyone is having issues, please make sure you contact me in a private message here. I'll make sure to look into any strange behavior.
  20. Off to see the insurance company

Yes, I'm off to McCall, ID, to meet with my insurance agent and review the actual insurance policy, word for word. Just to give me a boost today, I went a bit more like Clown Goth. I've a few other stops today, including picking up medications and doing some other shopping. I've got several fans in McCall who enjoy my makeup work and love the reactions of people. Oh, check out the gallery photos. I've got a new shirt. Gotta keep building my character up. I'm hunting for a second shirt, but still searching for something particular.
  21. Personal Note

Hey there gang, I'm still here working at the website.

I know there are people there that just don't understand why I've changed in appearance and my nature of being. Sadly, the whole aspect of my life was permanently altered when I had my last run of cancer. You have to realize I'm no longer able to work as a mechanic and do Cummins diesel work at a commercial level. I have an ostomy bag hanging on the front of my belly that is a constant reminder of the cancer I fought through alone. I deal with depression on a mild level because all the things I enjoy doing are gone! I can't lift more than 40 pounds because of hernia risk. My makeup is my way of making the most of the life I have left. As much as I love to turn wrenches now you toss in the fact that my shop is gone due to the mudslide here. Some people ask why you don't just put on your cowboy hat and go back to wrenching. Sorry, I can't I've got medical limits that prevent me from doing the things I love. This is why the character Titanium was created to help deal with my depression of not being able to work on diesels, I can't do a lot of things now because I need to keep my stoma and ostomy clean at all times. Infection at this point could cause huge problems for my health.

What is left of my toolbox and tools, a lot of my sockets spilled out.

My makeup and character "Titanium" create that boundary because I'm usually dressed up. Yes, the dress code I wear some usually shirts like my "Don't like me F___ OFF Problem solved! I've got another shirt that says Fun Fact: I Don't Care. At any rate, this is all about the laughter and smiles I create while I'm in Titanium character. My medical team loves the makeup and shirts I wear. Even when I'm out in public I've got teenagers yelling out over the parking lot of Albertson's, "I Love You Titanium!". The more I'm experimenting with movie set makeup, like Mehron and other high-quality makeup providers. This is what I now enjoy as fun is getting into makeup and making smiles and also supporting other cancer patients and medical patients. Yes, I have a following on TikTok members with similar issues.

As for the nature of being. That has been changed too. I'm tired of the people who just say, "I'll pray for you" and offer zero help. It's gotten even worse now. Just now found out my neighbor, who actually his water line actually caused this issue, is willing to create a GoFundMe page for Mark, but no help for me. That is just absolutely rude. The fact since the landslide, the Dischinger Family is the only one to come help us with the clean up. Even my church group is not even offering to help. I'm sick and tired of all the "fake love" or "fake help" towards us as a family unit. I'm sick and tired of people posting this all over Facebook in turn does nothing to bring help. Everyone knows what happened but no additional help has come, and it has led to a lot of conversations. Yeah, it's been over a month still a huge mess.

Month later its just the Dischinger Family and Us (Mark, Suzanna, and I) cleaning this up.

Just a few days ago, the Rupp Family had a major mudslide come down through their orchard and cow pasture and made a huge mess. I know they are very religious people too. I told the owners, "I'm NOT going to say the same old, I'll Pray for you." No, I did the right thing. "Is there anything I can do with my abilities to help you and your family with getting your business back on its feet?" Yes, even as broken as I am I offer help to my local community.

  22. Shade tree mechanic back at it

Both @Tweety Bird and I gotta have a break from all this. I had to deal with rusted slide pins on the calipers front and rear axle. We managed to find enough of my tools to at least do a simple repair. Suzanna has been busy packing the RV so we can go take a break camping locally.

I'm kind of amazed. Got the front brakes done with slide pins. Both side you had to beat the pins out of the boots. The last time I did brakes at 350k miles till now with 497k miles and rolling.

Finished this project. Sadly I found my MPG loss. Driver side rear was stuck on the side pins and ate those pads up about 1/4 of a inch left.
  23. We are back from our camping trip

@Tweety Bird And I had to get out of here and get some downtime. Extremely stressful to get up every day, looking out the living room window at an entire mess of my shop buried under tons of mud and dirt. It was wonderful to just go out north of McCall, ID for about 4 days. We didn't do anything but rest. Now we have returned home and are going to start making moves to clean up the main house with all the unpacking from moving to my place. Lots to do. Then still need to handle the mess in my driveway of my shop. Here shortly I'm going to post up a Go Fund Me Page and we are going to attempt to start heading towards normal life again some how. Anyone who wishes to help out, I will not turn you down. As for those who just want to send Prayers, thank you, but it doesn't clean up the mess, replace my shop or my tools that were lost.

  24. I spent a good part of the day trying to recover from a loss of search engine ranking. Yeah, I have been super busy dealing with insurance agents and people coming and going. Now things are settling down, I jumped back into the website more so. On to the website stuff.

My biggest hit was a problem called Content Layout Shift, or CLS for short. We had most of the mobile phone pages were as high as 0.44, which is a huge fail.

Now to see this for me I have to logoff and view from a guest level. Yeah this started to explain the problem why the search engine is dropping search results we are falling out of the first place.

Now to fix this problem, being I have a dynamic webpage. Mopar1973Man.Com will allow you on a desktop to pull the window frame smaller width-wise and the webpage will automagically change from desktop, to tablet, then to mobile format screen. Basically, we need to make sure that frames for Google Ads are pre-laid out, in other words, reserve space on the screen for the ad to be placed without skewing any page text or graphics up or down. Inside the backend of the website, I have a way to add CSS scripts to the theme so I can alter the way information is displayed.

    Here is my Custom CSS
    /* GOOGLE AD CODE FOR RESPONSIVE ADS */ #ipsLayout__main .adsbygoogle { width: 320px; height: 300px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; } @media (min-width:500px) { #ipsLayout__main .adsbygoogle { width: 480px; height: 300px; } } @media (min-width:800px) { #ipsLayout__main .adsbygoogle { width: 780px; height: 300px; } } @media (min-width:1050px) { #ipsLayout__main .adsbygoogle { width: 1040px; height: 300px; } }Now you have to go back over your Google Adsense code to add a bit of custom code around the Google Adsense code.

    <div id="ipsLayout__main" class="adsbygoogle"> <script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-0000000000000000" crossorigin="anonymous"></script> <!-- Header Ad --> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:block" data-ad-client="ca-pub-0000000000000000" data-ad-slot="0000000000" data-ad-format="auto" data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins> <script> (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); </script> </div>Here is how the magic works.

The custom CSS script creates a container on the webpage. I'm more worried about the height pixel more so than the width. It's the vertical shift of information on the page that is where the issue of CLS comes into play. The CSS script checks the screen size (window) and then, if the window size is at the "min-width" value, then the reserved space is width and height values to the right on the same line. This keeps the layout from moving as the ad loads from Google. The <div> tags in the HTML code of Google AdSense this is what create this container in the code.

The results of the code change below. The Google side panel is on the right showing the CLS value of a few random pages.
