  1. Sorry, let me explain, the encor showed 9.8 when it died and 15.1 while it was charging. I still need to do the wt mod so this might be the right time to do it and get that out of the way. Going to try different ecm tomorrow and see if that helps and if not, then on to checking the wiring.
  2. I will check out ACS if it is indeed the ECM. Should I be concerned about the 15.1v I saw while the truck was running? That was my live reading on the scanner. Not sure if the VR is shot. The ALT is 3mths old but it was a inexpensive reman.
  3. So I'm going to swap the ecm with one from a friend's truck and see where that leads me since it's a simple swap. If it is determined that the ecm has an issue, do any of ypu guys know where I can get one?
  4. I want to beleive this a ecm issue. The reason being is that these exact codes and symptoms happened last time. The vp was said to be the culprit and it "did something" to the ecm and that needed repaired. So whatever issue that was is back again, because the truck will run and then dies. And it will fire right back up and then die. So I'm assuming that it's the same problem that was fixed in the ecm is now broken again. I don't think it was the pump either time. But im no expert, am I on to something or am I just whistling Dixie
  5. I'm not wanting to say it's the pump, but the truck has never run right since the pump was put in and ecm was repaired. I know these pumps are re-maned in a approved bosch facility and use bosch parts. I dont even know where to start chasing this problem. Damn near everything is new under the hood. MAP, IAT, CPS, VP44, BATTERIES, ALT, LIFT PUMP, ECT. Could this be an issue with the ALT? When the truck idles its charging at 15.1v and then dies?? What about the oil pressure sensor, it has one wire coming from it and it states "no data" on the scanner and quadzilla. Im just grasping at straws here because the last time this happened it was in the shop for 3wks.
  6. The WTS light comes on and goes off after a few seconds. The pump was rebuilt by MasterTech diesel here in Boise. Not sure of the parts they use but I had one of their pumps on my old 24v for years with out any issues. I'm not sure who the company is that was in the ecm, but they were recommended by my mechanic.
  7. So I just cleared the codes and now I have an additional p1694 code. Also after the truck died and threw the p1694 code, the lift pump would shut off and restart for about 3 seconds and then turn on for 3 secs and then turn off again. The lift pump did this with out me touching the key again, so the key was still in the start position. These are the same codes I had 6 months ago, when I had the vp replaced and the ECM "repaired " locally. My mechanic told me that the vp was bad and there was some issue with the ecm that a local company "fixed". So I'm wondering if the ECM repair was just a "bandaid" and now the ecm is done.
  8. So I thought I'd repost this here. Yesterday I was driving down the road and the truck just died. It threw a p1693 and then a p0122 and p0237. Battery voltage was showing 15.1 and the IAT was showing 2.70v and the engine temp was 2.79v. The scanner was showing no data from oil pressure sensor. The Map and IAT and apps are all brand new. I unplugged the quadzilla and it made no difference. I'm thinking Ecm??? Wiring? This picture is what the scanner was reading when the truck died. The truck would run for a few mins and then die, but now it will only run for about 5 secs.
  9. So I made the changes suggested above and the truck runs cooler at 70mph, but not much. Truck is also a little more sluggish, so maybe I need to turn up the fuel a little more??.
  10. I will make some adjustments that you guys suggested and see what happens driving home from work. I appreciate all the help with this.
  11. I'm currently on level 4. The EGTs don't really change that much on each level. So you think I should lower the load limit? I'm still trying to figure out how all this works and I really appreciate the input. I'll try some of the changes you suggested and see what happens.
  12. So, I've been playing around with my quadzillas daily driving tune and I'm trying to get rid of the excessive smoke and heat. I'm currently running a set of DDP 100hp injectors( I know they are smokey and can run hot) and they are next on the list of items to fix( going to swap the nozzles and reset POP to 310) I think these injectors are popped at 280 from DDP which should retard the timing... correct?. But until i have time and money to do that, i need to try and adjust the tune. I'm also running a 60/67/12 HX35, BHAF, 4in exhaust. EGTs are about 800 cruising at 70mph, which seems high and it is still pretty smokey when pulling away from a light. Below is the tune that I'm currently running, i was hoping that you guys might have some input on some things to change to help with the heat and smoke until i can get to the injectors. Power levels: 7 RPM limit: 3400 Max valet mode power: 50 Pump stretch: 1400 TPS pump max: 100 TPS pump min: 20 Min pump tap fueling: 5 Pump low boost scale PSI: 8 Boost scaling: 30 Load timing: 1 Low PSI timing reduct: 2.5 Timing reduct scaling: 50 Light throttle timing ADV: 0 Light throttle timing load limit:35 RPM timing max: 1500-14 2000-17 2500-20 3000-23 Max:26 CanBus fuel 0-87 1-88 2-89 3-90 4-91 5-92 6-93 7-95 8-97 9-99 10-101 11-102 12-103 13-104 14-105 15-106 16-107 18-108 20-110 22-112 24-114 26-116 28-118 30-120
  13. I dont have the DAPs anymore or I would, I gave them back and my buddy sold them. So I might just buy some DAP vco nozzles and put them on the DDPs and re pop and be done with it so my truck is not down while I send them to DDP
  14. They were used from a buddy and thought they were the causing the issues I was having, but I was wrong. They were definitely better on smoke than the DDPs, so I'm just going to swap the nozzles and re pop the DDPs and call it good
  15. Will do. Any suggestions for decent nozzles at a reasonable price?
  16. The smoke is much worse with the DDPs. The fuel knock is still there, but not all the time. There is no driveablity issues. Just smokes all the time regardless of throttle. It does not smoke at idle, only under throttle, EGTs are about 750 to 800 at 65mph.
  17. It did exist with the DAPs, just not as bad.
  18. Hot wired the pump and nothing changed, so I'm at a loss... I don't wanna blame the injectors since it did the same with the DAPs that were in it. It's gotta be something with the pump but don't know what, there are no codes.
  19. So, I put the break out box on today and it made no change to the way the truck runs. Still idles like crap and threw a p1693 code. So I'm guessing either a vp issue or something wrong with the injectors???
  20. We will see tomorrow when i put the breakout box on it. Hopefully its a bad pump and i can just get it warrantied. I don't think that the injectors are the entire problem since it ran crappy with both the DAP's and DDP's. would it be worth it to set the POP pressure higher on the DDP regardless of a pump issue?
  21. Will do, maybe I got a junk reman vp???
  22. Yes, but the vp was changed and there was something fixed locally in the ecm.
  23. It was still off at idle, just not as bad.
  24. Will do thanks. If it still runs like crap, should I replace the pump or injectors? I would assume the vp since it ran the same regardless of which injectors
