  2. LOL well, I'm 52. Maybe it might. It is, after all, a DODGE!
  3. Have I said "I LOVE THIS TRUCK" lately? It's got some rust on the doors, (which I'll fix), and 193k on the odometer but it rides and drives like a new truck!! Awesome!!!!
  4. Thanks! Sounds simple enuff!!! I will build me a fooler!
  5. So, to do this I just need to unplug the IAT and plug in selected resistor? And this blocks the heater from coming on? So I need a switch to use the warmer and then switch to resistor?
  6. I have a 95 2500 with a V-10 that had the same issues. Once it got below 40-45 degrees, it wouldn't let the fuel pump come on. Warm out, start every time. Finally took the gamble and bought a pcm from Dodge, cured the problem.I know, I know, it's not a diesel..............
  7. Sorry, didn't find that place in my search. Thank you!
  8. I have a 99 2500 ram and I am looking for the folding towing mirrors. Anybody have any not using?:cool:TIA
  9. So basically, I should do this mod to help fuel mileage?
  10. WOOHOO!!!! I was right. So, does this benefit work also in colder weather?
  11. O.k. I am diesel stupid. lol Been a mechanic for 30+ years and this thread i cannot figure out. Is this thread about trying to make the engine idle higher on warmup?Mitch:banghead:
  12. Thx guys, this is the way I will go!!!
  13. already looking at mods. Where does one start? Is there an order one should do stuff in?What is a good programmer that doesn't break the bank?p.s. if I had lots of extra money to blow on mods, I'd have a new truck. lol
  14. well, gets cold here. lol 10 degrees this morning.
  15. Well, did a few more starts today and it seems to be working fine. Tried starting right away after fully warmed up not waiting for light and it started right up.Thx guysYou think the computer had to reset after sitting so long?
  16. Well, all day today, started truck probably 15-20 times and every time the WTS light came on the first time. One thing I did notice tho, is after fully warmed up, the WTS light comes on and stays on for at least 25-30 seconds before it shuts off. Then I start it. Is this acting normal? After fully warmed up shouldn't one be able to start the truck right up without waiting?I have not tried starting it when fully warmed up without waiting for light to shut off. Do you just ignore the light?Mitch
  17. LOL I found the ECM. Today, driving it around, the light came on every time on the first try. In the past few days, if it sits overnite or longer, have to cycle the key a few times. Will try again in the morning and see what happens. Maybe looking for ECM soon.
  18. I found it. Thx guys!!! This truck is awesome!
  19. Is taht the electronic thing attached to the injector pump or something different?
  20. Guess I have never tried to start it without waiting for the light. New to diesels. Will try it. So, I need to look for the ecm on the firewall? The "main" computer? thx guys!
  21. I have a "wait to start light" that doesn't come on all the time. I have to cycle the ignition switch maybe 5-6 times before it finally comes on, then truck will start. No light, no start. I have a 99. Just bought it from a friend, he had this issue before the vp44 took a dump. I replaced pump, truck runs awesome once the light comes on. Did a search of the internet and now can't find the articles I found before.:banghead:I love this truck!
