Been there, done that!! Trying to build a set of headers for Vipers cheaply ended up same way. Really hard to make anything in this country cost effectively. too freekin expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL Same here. Worked for a major corporation working on the fleet sales cars. These cars would have 100K + on them in 2 years. The local dealerships would be calling me to ask what's wrong with their cars. LMAO!!! The dealer would only see 20-30K in 2 years. I was finding all the problems wayyyy before they did.

Another FYI: The instrument cluster from the donor truck has to be compatible with your PCM. I just swapped the cluster out because it had the block out plate for the stick. Came up with a "No bus" in the mileage and check engine light. Took it out and robbed block out plate from it for my cluster and fixed. No codes and no lights!!!!!! Did I say I REALLY LIKE THE STICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!! The auto must have lower gear ratio than manuals. This thing will pull tree stumps out!!!!!!:thumbup2:Might be too low tho. Will have to get out on the highway to know for sure. What would be a good gear ratio for the 6 speed? Man, I love this truck!!!!

Thx!!!! I thought the speed sensor was in the trans. The auto has some sensor in the place where a speedo gear would go, thought that was speed sense.Guess I was wrong.

I have a 99 that the auto took a dump. Got a really good deal on a NV5600 out of an '02. Hooking stuff up and noticed there is no provision for speed sense on the trans. Where does the 2002 get is speed sense from? Am I screwed with no speedo?

You have to take it off. No way to get clean enuff to have the paint stick. Should be media blasted to get all the oxidised stuff off too.

No W-T-S light anymore.
I should clarify a little. IF I don't see the WTS come on, even for a second, it won't start. I have to cycle the key until I see it come on before it starts. So, does that mean the second ecm I put in is also crappin out?

I replaced the engine ecm. Still does the intermittant light deal. Sometimes it doesn't come on at all. I just cycle the key until I see the light come on for a couple seconds and count to 20. Then it starts....PITA:mad:

Sometimes the WTS light will not show up at all. I know the grid heaters are working cuz I can see the amp gauge going down and coming back up after start. If the WTS light doesn't show, I just wait 15-20 seconds and hit the key, starts right up.Then the next time I get in the WTS light works..................... So I know it's a good bulb.

I have a Solus from Snap-on that I can read live data. I was watching my IAT when I was checking for codes. I could switch my IAT fooler on and off and see the readings change. Would a High IAT temp make the light not come on?

Well, day two of different ecm. W_T_S light is very random and short when it comes on. Truck starts and runs fine. I know the grid heater works because I see the amp gauge drop some. Put 200 miles on today, and worked all day. Maybe gotta get used to w-t-s light acting way differently with this ecm?:shrug:I like the new fass pump, never drops below 14 lbs.
