  1. It is less than a mile for her but 60 miles for me lol. And I have to do it between work and sleep. These 55 hour weeks make it tough lol.
  2. Well its been a while since I have been on. Been real busy at work and been working on the "Great Move" lol. Fiance and I got the house closed on Friday and been busy getting furniture and appliances and moving them in. Had the gooseneck trailer behind the truck Friday night to try and get it all in one trip and had it almost full. We got a couch, love seat, washer, dryer, and fridge in that trip. Moved the bed Saturday after work and hauled the small tractor down the cut the grass and cut the 5 acres at her moms house while I had the tractor there. then went and got groceries that night and a new tv lol. And then back to work Monday and ended up working over Monday and Tuesday. First day I got off on time and had to come to my house and start packing my stuff lol
  3. Mine will throw this code sometimes. It is touch and go with me. One time the light is on and all is fine and still build good boost the next time the light can be on and the turbo will not spool at all. When the person that had truck before me put the Edge on they broke the map sensor plug and it vibrates lose a little I guess. I put some dielectric grease in the connector and put a zip tie around it to try and solve but it still does sometimes.
  4. I have the scanner from Harbor Freight and it has not let me down yet. It will even read the manufacture specific codes that Chevy has.
  5. Like hex0rz said the only thing would make the oil level rise is antifreeze or diesel unless you put something in and you would know if you did that lol. I also agree that you do not need to drive truck until you get it figured out. if it is a injector that is not firing right you can wash down the cylinder which if gone long enough can mess up the block unless these motors have piston sleeves(I do not know if they do as I have never been in one of these motors).
  6. I think I have 8 or 9 on it. One thing that I find odd is I always have to tweek the gallons that it thinks are put in and I always go to the same pump and face the same direction
  7. Trip fuel cost the newer SG2 has so many abilities and guages. The ODO is my corrected odometer but that is where the X-Guage function comes in handy cause I made that to where I can see it without having to go to trips and see it:thumbup2:
  8. I did a pretty good bit of running around frome Friday night to this morning and just figured I would post some pics of the mileage. it was better than it had been all week but since it warmed up i wasn't having to go through long warm ups with truck. I have the SG2 set by GPS on speed and have not messed with the setting for when coasting. Most of the driving was at 60MPH with Edge on 5x5. I played around in town a little and turned Edge down to 3x5 to get a little smoke when I was shifting. And I had a short 30-40 mile run at 65-67MPH with Edge on 5x5.
  9. The hardest one I have found is 4 to 5 on the 6spd
  10. I had an ACL reconstruction and hamstring graph four months ago to fix my knee that I messed up at work. My leg is evidently fine even with the large amount of bruising still since I went to doctor this morning and he checked it out and said it would be fine and didnt look like anything was messed up since the truck ran over that knee. He put me in a smaller knee brace and released me to go back to work full duty as long as I wear that brace. As soon as I left doctor went straight to work and was busy all day. Got two sprayers in: one has a couple oil leaks and suspected bad injector; other needs new pins and bushings in suspension and the owner said that an axle is rocking inside axle tube:banghead:. Hopefully get them both done tomorrow and move on to next project:thumbup2:
  11. Well I had my first day back to work since surgery today and to be honest I'm hurting a little. Prolly gonna be that way for a while as I have been off for four months. Gonna start putting some serious miles on truck though lol. I have a 75 mile a day drive just back and forth to work and goinf to get lunch. Plus all of my other driving I have to do.
  12. Thanks for the input. I am still working a few kinks out of truck and putting what little bit of spare money i have towards "needed stuff" lol. It will be done in the future though lol.
  13. How did you hook into the factory lines? cut them off and put PTC in and then adapter fittings to the 1/2PTC?
  14. That would be great if it is not a hassle. I have the big line kit from filter to injection pump now and have a new factory lift pump from Cummins.
  15. Correct if you have voltage at plug then the lift pump is bad. As for the diesel smell it could be anything that has to do with fuel. I vote fix one problem at a time lol
  16. I am almost certain that the lift pump is the problem anymore. You may also need to check your fuel tank. My vent was clogged or the cap was bad and would pull the prime off the system due to there being a vaccum created on the tank. I replaced with a vented cap and no more problems yet:thumbup2:. But the thign with that is mine would start after a few key cycles. The pump would be the first place I would go:smart:
  17. I just looked at the schematic for the fuel transfer pump and there is no fuse between it and the ECM. I personally wouldnt think that the ECM would be bad because you still have the WTS light and everything correct?
  18. I do not know of a fuse that runs it but I'm not near my Haynes manual or factory manual on my computer. I will look when I get home. It will prolly be a couple hours though
  19. As far as I know it would not throw the CEL if the transfer pump was not running. I'm not for sure of this since I caught mine before the pump totally quit. I don't believe it would as it only has two wires going to it. A power and ground. Anyone else know if it would?
  20. Sounds like we need to get together and invent lol:thumbup2:. Some tractors have it where when you push brake pedal so far a lever will come down and look the pedal down then you just press the pedal and lift lever back up to release
  21. Thats why I threw it out there to him. You were right about SG2 being extremely useful. Glad I bought one
  22. I will look at it when I get back home. Gotta go to Nashville and pick up a truck and carry it to Owensboro KY tomorrow. Hope I can avoid most off the bad weather
  23. Autozone has some good ones but you will pay for them. I have the $100 from harbor freight and it works just fine. Or you could spend a lil more and buy SG2. It will read and clear but it only gives code number and you will have to look it up
  24. That us most likely the problem then. If you have help you can unplug the connector at transfer pump and check for 12v while some bumps the starter. If you have voltage you will need to replace transfer pump and should be good then if it hasn't gotten the injection pump. I just got one from Cummins for my truck it was 159.51 plus tax and shipping.
