Dead ECM
Thanks Haggar, that’s exactly what I was doing, the bump to engage lift pump to bleed air. Everything has been good since then.

Thanks dripley, you are probably right. Maybe I blinked or something. Seems everything is okay today. Went to town today and got a wts light every time I went to start it. Whoever was keeping track, another +1 for auto computer specialist.

Dead ECM
Guys I need a little help. It’s been so long since my ECM was working right I have forgot how it should work with the WTS light. I got my ECM back from Auto Computer Specialist today. Good turnaround time, they got it Tuesday and sent it back to me Friday. Got it back in and immediately got a WTS light. Bled fuel system and truck fired up and sounded good. I shut it off and went to restart and I got no WTS light, but the truck started just fine. I checked A/C voltage and it’s good. Is there some kind of delay when you won’t get a WTS light? It was my understanding that you should get it anytime you turned on the key? Truck is starting fine without a WTS light it seems. A/C voltage was.017-.020. Any help appreciated.

Thanks Mike, I’ll let everyone know how it goes for me. Glad they got you handled well.

Thanks for the heads up larbow! I’ll give them until sometime next week before I try to contact them.

Dead ECM
I’ve joined the group of dead ecm’s. I had the delayed WTS light for a few years. Other than that no other problems until last week. I went to start the truck and no WTS light, no lift pump, and no start. I sent it off to Auto Computer Specialist in Florida after seeing they were recommended on here. They received it yesterday about this time. I haven’t heard anything from them yet, I figured it might be a couple days before I hear anything. Can someone who has used them give me an idea of the turnaround time? I will post back on here how my experience goes with them.

Fuel Boss installed
My installation was about 3000 miles ago. My pressures are similar to IBMobile 18 idle, 21 WOT. No leaks or problems so far. WB

What fuel pressure do you run if you have a gauge?
Hey, Cumminsdieselpwr, I don't know what gauges you're running. I'm running a mechanical fuel with a needle valve, just cracked open. Sometimes, I get a small piece of trash or something in the needle valve and it will effect my gauge. I just turn the needle knob a little in & out and all is well again. WB

Mine's a spring loaded bypass in the return line. Adding or removing shims or springs, you can adjust pressure by bypassing more or less fuel. My return Y's into the filler neck hose. At my pressures it does bypass a lot of fuel. I don't remember the GPM, but I would think you could do some pretty extensive mods., before needing more fuel. They also make a different pulley setup to overdrive the pump, if you find you need more fuel. Mine is all run through 3/8 fuel line. If run through 1/2 inch with the overdrive setup, this thing would have to move a monstrous amount of fuel. Way more than I'll ever need, I think.

edge ez chip intake elbow
With some talk earlier in this thread about Edge and Tst. I found it interesting that when you go to the Edge website, and open the comp user manual, the tab in my browser reads TST Powermax Installation Instructions. Does anyone know if TST makes the comp for edge, or vice-versa. Or maybe some technology rights sold or something. Steering Wander?
[h=2][/h] This works well for a worn lower steering column bushing. It took away an annoying clunk I had in my 94, while turning. On my install it actually tightened things a little too much. The steering wheel wouldn't return to center. I took it back apart and had to remove a little material from the inside with sandpaper, and oil it good before reassembly. Works like a champ now.

Steering Wander?
As a newbie I'll drop 2 cents here. The steering gear adjustments are the best steering improvements I have done to both my 12V and 24V trucks. I had to do both adjustments on a new rebuilt steer gear. I also agree the steering brace could take away some lateral stress to the gear output, maybe extending some wear in that area. But as a fix to steering slop, it won't work in my experience anyway.

Hello, Somewhat New To 24V World
Hello, forum members I'm kind of new to the 24 valve Cummins. I've been in a 12 valve the last 8 years. I bought this 24 from a friend, and it seems like I've been spending money like a drunk sailor on shore leave. It seems my friend, who is a heavy diesel mechanic by trade, didn't spend a lot of time maintaining his own truck. I've got it driving pretty good, now I may do some small performance upgrades. Looking forward to sharing some information on this forum. Thanks, WB
