  1. I bought both lines. The passenger one was correct, but the driver side was exactly the same as the line I'm replacing, but didn't have a threaded hole in the side for the other fitting, it was flush. Did your driver side have the fitting? Do you possibly remember a part # if so?
  2. Yea, the rubber one. Here is a pic of what I'm talking about. The line I bought had nothing for the fitting coming from left.
  3. Hi all, I ran into a problem when I was trying to change my front driver side brake line on my 99 4wd. I went to Napa and got a brake line, but when I was about to take the old one off I noticed where it mounts to the frame there is another line that comes and t's into the brake line I'm trying to replace. It's kind of hard to visualize so I'll try to take a pic. The brake line I bought to replace the bad one didn't have a fitting for the other line. Should I but the line from the dealer? I can't seem to find any parts stores that have what I'm looking for. Thanks
  4. That's kinda what I was leaning toward. Seems like a smart play since I bought this truck with the sole intention of using it as a tow rig. I think I might get a couple mounts and see if they'll work. Not sure what I'll have to do to the whole axle side mount, but I can probably make it work.
  5. Seeking some help with my latest truck problem Decided to get a new set of adjustable control arms since my stockers were well past needing to be replaced. Got the old arms out and took a look at the mounts, wow they are terrible! The axle side U-shaped bracket reinforcement that the cam rides on was broken in a couple places on both sides and pretty much useless. The mounts themselves are also pretty jacked up. The bolt holes are wallowed out as well. So now I need to figure out how to fix them. Cut them off and replace them? Try to figure out a better way with what I have now? I have access to a welder and grinders and work at an off road manufacturer so finding parts isn't going to be a big deal. Just wanted some some opinions on the best route to take. And yes I should have snapped some pics! I'll try to get some. Thanks
  6. I run the Synergy track bar conversion. Super clean kit that works well. http://www.synergymfg.com/Synergy-Suspension-94-02-Dodge-Track-Bar-Conversion-Kit-p-29382.html#.U03MnPldW-0
  7. Not too bad of a job, just kind of a pain to get to. My power steering was leaking like a sieve so I replaced the vacuum seal. I agree that it's best to take the vacuum pump and ps pump off as a whole unit. I'd just google search it. I found a few decent write ups before I did mine.
  8. Didn't get any notifications on the topic, whoops! Thanks for posting up the info guys, appreciate it! I honestly don't have the money for that so I've been looking at used ones from classifieds. Just not sure what I can and can't use. Does it matter if it's from an auto or a manual? Can it come from a newer truck? I'm assuming I'll have to get it reflashed either way, just need to know what I can use.
  9. Procrastinated on this for awhile. Finally bit the bullet and took it in to the dealer. Confirmed the ecm is bad. Now on the hunt for a new one. Any suggestions on where I should look?
  10. Awesome, thanks for clearing that up! That makes sense. I know that the radio was messed with so I think that's a good place to start. Is there a specific part of the radio wiring that's included in the CCD Network or just the whole radio harness? I'm assuming the wiring to the steering wheel as well? Also noticed the overhead console is included on the same network. Is that the display that has temperature, etc?Again, thanks for your help! It's really appreciated!
  11. Definitely don't have access to one of those scanners. Looking at that wiring diagram it seems that the radio is in the ecm loop? Not sure if I'm reading it right. The PO definitely did some questionable wiring in that area...
  12. Thanks for the info, I'll take a look at the diagram. What kind of scan tool did you use in that article?
  13. Thanks, will do.
  14. Hello Everyone, Been visiting the site more and more trying to diagnose what's wrong with my 99 6 speed 4x4. Been having an issue with a cel (p1694) that I think is being caused by a bad ecm. From what I've seen it seems like the site had a lot of good info so hopefully I get it figured out, been quite the headache! Damn Ca smog!
