KDP
Ok well if the issue was resolved by 2000 I should be fine. Mopar1973Man, off topic here but I have a question in regards to the crank case breather bottle. According to the Manuel your supposed to empty them out at every oil change so If I do that there would be no need for the mod correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

KDP
Alright guys anybody know the exact years with the KDP? Mines an 01 sport model. And is there a way to tell if you've got the upgraded crankcase that prevents this problem with out taking it apart? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heat Shield!
Yea I'm not really to concerned about the heat shield I'll just run the BHAF and check the heat after a run just to see. However the thing I'm most concerned about is cleaning my turbo after five months of having the K/N on there! It doesn't have any Pitts or anything yet. Just some oil in the compressor housing and on the silencer ring that u can wipe off with a rag. Unfortunately I'll have to remove the turbo to get the compressor housing off in order to clean it real good! Damn K/N filter!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vave Lash Adjustment Question
Ok that helps a lot Mike thanks! So take the crankcase breather off and turn one of those bolts in the pic and check behind were the breather was for TDC and adjust valves and then just make one full rotation and adjust the rest correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vave Lash Adjustment Question
So basically there are two different methods. The Alternator method, and the dampener bolt method. I just need to pick one and go with it. Sounds like there both pretty easy though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok Wild and Free, I seen your last post as to why you don't use the Alternator method. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vave Lash Adjustment Question
Oh ok thanks Wild and Free!! I got it now thanks for clearing that up for me! So the only difference between using the dampener bolt versus the Alternator bolt is that the dampener bolt is easier right? Boy u can tell I'm new to this BWWWWAAA! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vave Lash Adjustment Question
Oh ok that makes sense. The video I had watched the guy didn't seen to have an issue with it. But I wouldn't want to take a chance on breaking anything!! Plus your way sounds easier! So let me get this straight before I attempt to do this. You remove the crankcase breather vent to watch for TDC while turning the Alternator bolt correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vave Lash Adjustment Question
Crank damper bolts? Yea that's what I was thinking the Alternator looks easier! So why would you need that special tool? Wouldn't it be just as easy with a socket? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vave Lash Adjustment Question
Ok Gentelman I need some opinions on this one. Iv'e seen Mopar1973Man's page on 24v "Valve Lash Adjustment", and according to his your supposed to turn the bolt in the center of the Alternator to get to TDC, or BDC. But iv'e seen videos of guys turning the bolt directly behind the Crankcase Vent to get to TDC, OR BDC. So my questions is which "bolt" to turn? Then again it is 5:00 a.m. maybe my brains not working yet

Turbo
They didn't have an A/C output just a pass or fail. I took it to two stores just to be sure, and they both passed! As for the battery I only did do the one. They said the other one was real good! I took your advise on the 2 stroke oil started using it today after I got her going again!! speaking of which any particular kind of Snowmobile 2 stroke oil I should be looking for when it gets colder? And what temp should I switch from regular 2 stroke oil to the Snowmobile type? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
