  1. Disconnected the negative cables for a hour to reset computer and tjatndidnt do it. Unplugged the rellay/solenoid/switch/whatever it is under the console for 30 min. The passenger side seat belt locked up and wouldn't unwind either. Plugged back in and drivers side still won't operate but passenger side operates fine again. So I guess it's in the belt mechanism itself and has nothing to do with the solenoid under the console. Dieselfuture, from what I can gather this year Ram has some electric explosion switch tied in with the air bag and not completely inertia driven. It's a bad design and of course they got away from it. Took the belt assembly apart and low and behold now it works!!
  2. Found the drivers side was unplugged from switch/relay under console. Plugged it up but no difference. Even disconnected negative cable on battery and it didn't work. Should I have disconnected both batteries?
  3. So my seat swap was a success, but not without a hiccup. The drivers seatbelt will unwind about half an inch and lock. That's as far as it will go! I tried shaking it, beat on the back of the seat, and stuck my pinky finger in trying to find a release. Any ideas on what to try next?
  4. Seats bolted right up, I plugged in the wire, and put the power window relay in the electric seat relay spot and BAM, they work! I am stoked!!
  5. So I met a guy with a 12v on Sunday. He said he owned diesel shop in Valdosta, and was making 500hp on his 12v. Looking at his truck I noticed he had stock diameter exhaust. When I asked why he wasnt running bigger he said it was important that the motor had plenty of back pressure.
  6. Is there any reason I couldn't/shouldn't switch out my manual seats to power? Need to replace mine and all I've found is electric. Any chance the plug under the seat provides power? I know I'll have to put in a realy/fuse in fuse box, but is there anything else?
  7. 4" is too raspy to me.
  8. I'm planning to put a 5", turbo back, muffled pipe with a 6" tip on my stock 3500 qc 4x4. I've read the Donalson muffler is the way to go so I'll probably go that route. I'm not looking for loud just like the deep diesel sound. I haven't decided if I will buy a prefab bolt on, or take it to a local muffler shop. I definitely do not want droning or obnoxious loud. Do I need to do anything else or is this a good set up?

  10. I replaced my door panels and the window motor on passenger side of my 1999 3500. Now my power locks don't work and I can't figure out why! Any suggestions?
  11. What are sport lights? Were all 2nd gen headlights not the same?
  12. Starting to make a list for my new to me 1999 3500 extra cab 4x4, and one at the top of the list is the steering. There is a half a steering wheel turn worth of slop to the left, and hardly any to the right. Do you think the gear box needs replacing?

    New guy here. My everyday driver for about 8 years now is a 1995 Reg Cab 2500 4x4, 12v and I love it! However, just this week I picked up a 1999 3500 Extra Cab 24v 4x4 for what I thought was a really good price. It's gonna need some tlc though. This place looks to be a wealth of info. I look forward from learning what I can from you guys!
