I don't know what it is here lately! I have a second 6.7 cummins in the shop in 2 weeks! This one is purely due to neglect! He doesn't change oil on a regular basis, and I don't think he has cleaned the air filter since putting a new engine in last year!. He calls me yesterday afternoon, and says hey Jason, I have a problem! I said lets hear it. He proceeds to tell me, he heard a loud pop kinda like a tire blowout and his truck is lugging black smoke. I told him to pull over and check the air to air boots, he keeps driving:mad::banghead:Finally started pumping a blue smoke and he pulls over on the side of the I55, and shuts it off. He pulled diagnostics on his mini maxx and it says low oil pressure, and I'm thinking geez you think! So he walks 2 miles to a truck stop and back with 3 gallons of Rotella. He adds oil and fires it up, and said OMG Jason my engine is running away and won't shut off with switch, so he puts in gear lugs it down and kills it! Tim, my brother, and I take off load my dually up on the rollback and set off on a 100 mile journey to get him, get there unhooks his gooseneck trailer, with a 12foot oversize building on it, load the truck and hook my dually to the trailer,mind y'all with no permit, because he says it's cheaper to pay the fine than it is to buy a permit! Pull it in the shop this morning, no oil in the engine, pull the intake side air to air boots and oil starts pouring out! Yank the intercooler off and drain better than 3 gallons of oil out of it, thinking about asking him if he wants me to strain and reuse...lol not!!! So I have everything tore down, turbo off, it's totally shot. I will post pics soon of the air filter, intercooler, air to air hoses and pipes, and turbo! Well got all the parts in Monday morning, started about 1030 putting everything on. Wasn't a bad job at all. Was completely done by 1. Having a lift sure made it nice to do the PDF delete! :D:D Took it for test drive, needless to say its back on the lift :banghead: I honestly don't know how he was driving this dang truck!!!! Was driving and this thing started wobbling violently :confused:. So I put it back on the rack and waiting for more parts to be in today! Tore down the right front side, both ball joints were sloppy, the hub assembly was toast, & the u-joint on the axle was bad! Anything else I need to look at?

Trying to find a mechanic around here that will help has been next to none!:banghead:So I decided to try and figure things out myself! Did a pressure test on the cooling system, and think I have it figured out! Pressurized the radiator to 15psi, and noticed that on the back passenger side of the egr cooler where it bolts on to the exhaust manifold, appears to be leaking. I ordered an egr delete kit, dpf delete kit, and a mini maxx programmer. I'm pretty confident that this is where all the problems are going to be. Will post pics soon, to see if y'all feel the same way!

Hey fellas,I need some help, buddy of mine has 07 Dodge 2500 4x4. The engine is missing, has an egg smell coming from engine, engine temp is running warm, white smoke when cranks up, and steam look from exhaust.Any ideas would be a great help!!!Jason

Hey fellas, I just wanted to remind all of y'all that with the hunting season upon us to be extremely careful!!! The reason I'm saying this is, a friend of mine was airlifted earlier due to a 4wheeler accident! He got turned around in the woods and confused where we was, ran over a sapling and was spinning to get unstuck! When the 4wheeler freed up, he shot off about a 12 foot embankment and was trapped under his 4wheeler for almost an hour!!! So please be careful!!!

Well I bit the bullet and ordered a reman vp44 from a local supplier. Cost was just shy of a $1000.00:cry::cry: Decided that I would attempt to install this afternoon and after about 1.5 hrs, She's up running good again!!!:hyper::hyper:It was a costly job but not to bad doing it myself! I want to say thanks to all of y'all and espcially Micheal aka MoparMan! After a couple of conversations on the phone I found a few no no's I have been doing!:smart::smart:

No I'm having to eat all costs!!! Will have close to 2 grand in the truck!

Well fellas I cleaned out the fuel tank, fuel lines. Filled with 35 gallons of fresh waterless diesel, went for a test drive and now have the dreaded P0216 code now!!! Guess I'll be ordering a new pump in the morning! Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

Yea tell me about it! Just filled the dang thing up 35 gallons of water and slight diesel!!! I'm totally pissed about it!

Well fellas, I'm in a foul mood now. I think I have found the culprit on why my injectors went bad and I'm smoking like the engine is still cold!:banghead: I drained the fuel water seperator on my ad 165 and I have drained two 44 ounce fountain drink cups of slight fuel and lots of water!:banghead::banghead::banghead: So what do I do now?

Well fellas, I bit the bullet and ordered new injectors! I found them on ebay 50 hp over stock. I had them shipped overnight. I also ordered new connector tubes, installed them tonight and she fired up and is running like a scalded dog!!! Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

I got the afternoon off today, so I decided to tear down and get the injectors out! Well I get them out and just by looking at them, the appears to be nothing wrong with them!:banghead: Called the local place where I normally get all my parts and they are out of stock so now I'm back at square one! Where do I need to get them and who offers the best price?

Ok well I finally got a chance to look at the truck. Went against you Micheal and went ahead and cranked the truck, it is definitely an injector! Think I am going to order new ones!!!
