well he has the idiot light, so they must of thought of "being careful" as you said this could still hurt it. seems like quite the gamble with this one.... it seems more of a older person that owned the truck, it doesn't have a cd player just cassette(assuming kids go right for cd players or mp3) Im okay with spending the money on a aftermarket fuel pump and fuel gauge right away, I just dont want major issues up front.

it looks like whoever installed the low pressure LED light on the truck. So they must of knew it was a issue, How do I know if it's a new lift pump and injection pump? I mean aftermarket is kinda advice but not OEM.

All, I am buying a 24v dodge ram 2500 with 205k, anything I need to be aware of? This is the one with the lift pump issues? sorry for not reading forum but I plan to buy as early as tomorrow morning. So does a 5.9 2006 have solenoid valves on top?

I own a 6.7 so they have a solenoid on it. Anyways I was wondering how a 3rd gen knows when to fire the injectors. Also what year was common rail introduced for cummins engine?

As far as I know they shouldn't. Hard to read and troubleshoot. I'm much more hands on.

Wire testers have poke ends. You can push through wire to test if needed. At work unable to watch video :banghead:

Get me pictures and I will tell you how to check it.On a switch there should be 3 wires. One for power in. One for reverse window motor and one to turn motor for window up. Just disconnect wire to switch in all three spots. Find your live wire and put back on switch, then switch switch to roll up motor and test the two wire spots that are missing.I guess you could even test with all wires left on switch as well.

Go to parts store and by a 12 volt test light. Cost like 5 bucks and will save a lot of headache. I won't worry so much about voltage because there should be no drop. If there is a drop in voltage window would be slow.You just put ground on something and start touching other side to stuff till it lights up!

The larger line does not sense on start up. However once the volume is filled with fuel still only certain amount goes through pump whether hose is big or not.

My truck holds 5.7 gallons total. How much you think I would need with flash?

I have smarty Jr. I guess its suppose to be very safe at any levels. Now the smarty Sr can do some damage. That's why I didn't buy it lol.
