  1. So Right now I have tow 2nd gens. Both 4x4 5 speeds. my 99 has always had an issue with power steering at idle mostly. I replaced the pump with a Borgeson, all new power steering lines with a filter, red head gear box, synthetic fluid and rebuilt the vacuum pump while everything was out. I still have barely any power steering at idle. I even modified the Saginaw pump by drilling a larger hole. my other truck with an all original power steering pump, lines etc has had 37s (back to stock now) and it could turn those tires without an issue even at idle. I am beginning to think the truck with the issues has a hydro boost blockage of some sort. My brakes work fine and I have no codes or anything of that nature. Could a blockage in the hydro cause this issue? EVERYTHING power steering wise is new along with most of the front end. It’s almost impossible to hook to my trailer since I can’t turn at a stop. I gone crazy trying to figure this out and I’m thinking of replacing the hydro to see if it solves anything. I have flushed the power steering lines several times as well Anyone have any ideas? I have had abs driven many other 2nd gens and have had no issue with any size tire. The truck in question has 33s so nothing crazy....
  2. I appreciate your response. I cleaned the 3 pcm and 1 ecm connections thoroughly and added some dielectric grease to them. It seems to have solved it...for now.. I have all new battery terminals that I keep clean and greased. I may end up replacing all cables as well. I’ll do as you suggested with alternator and ground mod. Thank you!!
  3. So I actually probed the actual sensor and I’m getting a steady .73 volts at idle. therefore I’m guessing it’s a wire or the ecm/pcm reading incorrectly Any input ?
  4. Hello all, recently had a low voltage code p0122 on my 99. Figured it was the stock tps and decided to replace with the highly reviewed TIMBO. now I’m not sure if these issues were present before the timbo install due to not having a good code reader. I am now using a snap on brick code reader. my issue is with the key on, ignition off I have a steady tps voltage of .66 and it will rise appropriately with pedal push and return to .66. However when I start the truck and let it idle the voltage is very sporadic. Never staying at a solid number even when pushing the pedal. The truck runs and drives fine without one issue beside the check engine light. Anyone have any ideas? I uploaded a very short video due to size limits IMG_6059.MOV
  5. Just an update. Quadzilla sent me a new hardness for the quad! Everything is reading right now. Now working on the custom tunes... thanks everyone.
  6. I can get it to about 20psi but it will jump right back down to zero and then back up close to where it was at. Which makes the truck jerk as you can feel the fuel kicking in and out. It bounces around a lot and is never consistent. It will go from 3 to 0 then to 7 back to 0 then to 15 then to 0 then to 18 then to 0. Haven’t seen anything like it on any other tuner. Inspected all the wiring and connectors and eventually found that prong on the quad harness for the map sensor. If I unplug everything and go back to stock, My snap on scanner reads fine from the obd2 and I even plugged my edge back in and it works just as it should as well. Showing boost 30+ easily before backdown.
  7. Runs perfect when stock and when I hooked the edge back up. I also have a snap on scanner and can monitor everything the ecm sees. I guess it has to be that middle prong. Hoping I don’t run into any issues with an exchange from power driven diesel. thanks Thanks. I guess that’s what it would have to be. I have to wait until Tuesday but hoping I can do a quick exchange. Appreciate the advice.
  8. https://ibb.co/SfMjjWV Just purchased a quadzilla for iPhone for my 1999 5 speed Cummins. The boost numbers bounce around from 10 and back to 0 which causes the truck to jerk a lot. I just received this 5/21 and I took out my edge juice with attitude that I had zero issues with. Would show boost 30+ and the truck ran great. Quad number is ADR1000 which is correct for my 99. Now my main issue is the 3 prong map sensor connector. The middle prong inside the connector appears to be damaged. I’m not sure if this would cause the issues I’m having. I ordered form power driven diesel and just received it 3 days ago and just installed today. any advice is appreciated Some additional pics. Hope you can see them. https://ibb.co/t4h2sYP https://ibb.co/SfMjjWV https://ibb.co/0qngZDK https://ibb.co/MC9grbv
  9. Having similar issue in my 99. Just received the iQuad 5/21. Boost reads up to like 10psi then drops to 0 then back to 8psi. Truck jerks like crazy due to the fueling I guess. Just pulled off an edge JWA CTS2 for the quad. Had zero issues with the edge. Read boost up to 30+. I even put the edge back and it worked perfect. Read boost 30+. So I’m thinking this has to be an issue with the quad... getting a little discouraged. Any advicec
