  1. I bought a Trinity T1000 for my 03 ram 2500, to save a few MPG and change the parameters for tire size, and I just found out that the T1000 can not do it. Is there any tuner/programmer that will change tire size paramters of a 03 or is this hopeless? Thanks for the advice!
  2. I'm getting a code P0193 fuel rail pressure sensor high. When I take a dvm to the 5v supply to ground I get only 7/10ths of a volt, almost like its a short. I attached the fsm wiring diagram and it looks like the MAP sensor is tied together through the DG/OR wire. So does MAP sensor get its 5v supply on the LB wire then out through the DG\OR wire to the rail pressure sensor? That's the way the picture looks like to me, but this schematic is different then what we use at my work. And why I'm I not actually getting the 5v to my rail pressure sensor, is it because the MAP sensor is out, but I'm not getting any map codes P0106,0107,or 0108 , I'm not getting any of these codes. Any thoughts?
  3. Oh ic that makes sense.
  4. That's what I figured, seems like around here diesel's in the junkyard are harder to come by.
  5. So would that mean I could use MPH(SPEED)/ Flow rate that my lift pump is rated for? = MPG ? --- Update to the previous post... Or i guess actually I would need to to determine the flow rate of the lift pump by the PSI its producing ?
  6. Autometer Rail pressure gauge --- Update to the previous post... I'm kinda thinking it might be the ECU, I found the factory flow chart on diagnosing the pressure sensor and after going through all the steps it points to replacing the ECU. Also I just bought the truck a month or month and half ago, who ever had the truck before put big front grill guard and it looks like they did plenty of welding on it, so maybe that shorted something in the ECU? I also spoke with software engineer that writes apps to talk to cars to pull codes and look at PID's and etc. I did a snapshot of what the computer was sending me, he says something isn't right like the truck isn't communicating properly. I might try out a new wiring harness first. --- Update to the previous post... Anybody know where to buy a wiring harness? or if I check out junk yards would a gas or another be interchangeable.
  7. Oh maybe not. Whatever h cummins parts store gave me for my motor are definitely a lot beefed than the originals.
  8. What does, his code actually mean? I know it states fuel feedback circuit, but does it mean fuel is detected in the feedback to the tank? Or a abundant amount of fuel is detected in the feedback circuit? Thanks in advance ! --- Update to the previous post... Or if a injector isn't opening and delivering fuel to the cylinder head, could it cause this code?
  9. Thanks guys I appreciate the help, I'll probably have many more questions to come.
  10. I got a dumb question, but I have seen it pop up a few times. What is R and R when referring to some diesel trucks?
  11. I don't know guess anything is possible. I follwed the manufacturs wring exactly. I been doing some trouble shooting, checking for a short or a open somewhere. In the process of rouble shooting I pulled the harness going to ecu while ohming out some wires. hooked everything back up now I got a P0122-THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO LOW,along with the other code. I'm at my wits end, really don't even know where to go from here.
  12. I'm having troubles with my truck, I can't get it started right now. So I'm trying to go through a do some trouble shooting. One code though the truck is throwing is a P0193, I got a rail pressure gauge in the mail today ,but it hooks up electronically too so that not a lot of help. I was just going to replace the sensor, but what has thrown me off is that I hooked up the electronic rail pressure sensor and it pegs out, which makes sense because the truck says its reading high too. But when I unplug the harness from the sensor then try and crank the truck the gauge still pegs out. I would think it should just read 0, since its not hooked up to the sensor. which this kinda makes me believe something might be shorted before it gets to the sensor? Whats your guys thoughts? Thanks
  13. I bought a used 03 2500 and its got some big tires on it , these things are huge. Will this throw off what the trucks factory MPG counter reads?
  14. What's your guys thoughts on filter used motor oil and adding like a 20 or 30% blend to your diesel fuel. I've heard some good things and some guys even running up to a 50% blend, but I haven't had time to reasearch it to much yet.
  15. Ok ill try and go that route, that's not bad at all. Yea I had to have the dealer program a key for my 09 Jeep and they took me for 295, that hurt.
  16. I picked up a 03 ram and it didn't have any of the keyless entry remotes with it, is there a cheap way for me to go to a stock remote? I would assume that would mean a trip to the dealer? Or should i check out something after market?
  17. Cool video,I've also heard of the cheap crap ones exploding but this shows it.
  18. I was testing my Fca the othed day by unhooking it, then truck throw a P0193 high pressure. I tried clear the code with my obd2 to see if it would come back. Its like the code never leaves, because it come back up without even trying to start truck. I also unhooked the batteries for atleast 30, and the same pops up with the same code without even trying to start the truck. Any thoughts
  19. I bought some connector tubes from cummins just the other day for my 03. They seem alot bigger, not sure the hole size but I think I read somewhere these can be used on the 6.7 to.
