Posted February 20, 201114 yr I am assuming you can't pull the vp and the vaccum out at the same time?
February 20, 201114 yr I don't see why you couldn't. Maybe I am missing something though, what makes you think you can't?
February 20, 201114 yr Vacuum pump is mounted to the back of the power steering pump and is below the Vp44 and neither interferes with the other.
February 20, 201114 yr Author I dont have a pic to look at, but was needing to pull vp and just thought the gear from the vac pump would be holding the vp gear in place when the vp was pulled. Just didnt want to put vaccum pump back in.
February 20, 201114 yr I figured that would be the only thing you were thinking, and no it's not an issue. The cam gear holds the VP gear, but even then you could just leave the gear puller on the VP gear.

February 20, 201114 yr Author Got it, pics are a wonderful think. --- Update to the previous post... I just need to replace the cover gasket then pull vp.
