Now I see why they are so easy to leak. I replaced the gasket on my new motor today and the rubber gasket just crumbled in my hand.

Yeah I replaced a cam cover gasket on Taz's 1992 Dodge it was the same way brittle and crumble in your hands. I might end up doing mine this spring too...
