tuner with stock lift...?

Recommended Posts

If the lift pump is functioning fine you would have no problem at all. However I would seriously get a fuel pressure gauge on the inlet to the VP44 and monitor to make sure the system can sustain over 10psi during WOT runs (I highly doubt it will.) Under 10psi and the injection pump will not receive enough lubrication and fuel cooling to prevent wear eventually leading to a P0216 code. Its my understanding that a good aftermarket system capable of maintaining between 15-18psi under all conditions will keep the VP44 happy for sometime.

Well fuel saver software is typically heavy on the timing curve and not so much on the fuel but still in all like Cummins2k said I would highly suggest you get a fuel pressure gauge and watch it to be sure the fuel pressure stays above 10 PSI at all times. I'm running a AD 150 and never get below 15 PSI unless its a really cold morning than it might fall to 14 PSI... Typically it idles at 17-17.5 PSI and at WOT 16 PSI...
